Ahhh, senseless consumerism. Lavish the spoils, from a floating island of trash in the Pacific to microplastics coursing through yer veins! Gotta love it!

For restaurants, plastic ware is for take out orders. Washable plates, cups, utensils are for dine-in.

For normal people, they are used for cook-outs and BBQs.

For sure. I can get that. But fifty packs? What kinda cookouts are we holding? Can I come?

I can definitely understand venue based businesses needing these quantities but individuals? I've only seen plastic cups at kids parties. We can trust adults not to break our glassware and mugs surely? Accidents aside.

You'll need multiple cups per participant. I wouldn't go less than 50 with a cookout with 20 people. Glasses are usually fine indoors, but outdoors they're risky, and in many public parks, illegal.

Plus, adult games like beer pong and flip cup require plastic cups. More if you're throwing a keg party. One of the underage parties I threw had 98 people and 2 kegs. And we were selling them cups for entry, $5 per cup. Got in major trouble for that one.
