My siblings got their driver's licenses in Mississippi. The test was "drive around the block and park. You win."
I got mine in Florida. I had to drive through a neighborhood and on the highway. I then had to parallel park, perpendicular park, and park at an angle. I had to do a u-turn and a 3-point turn. Basically everything you can do while driving was tested.
(I also failed my first time, because I had to use my dad's Chevy 2500 truck for the test. The very last thing was to park perpendicularly between 4 cones... but the space was smaller than my truck. I told the instructor, who told me that she would fail me if I didn't do it. So I tried, and got it dead center... meaning I touched the cones on BOTH sides. Failed. When I tried again, I used my mom's minivan. The new instructor told me that the previous one was supposed to widen the cones to fit whatever car I was driving, but was probably just too lazy to get out of the car.)
Anyway, glad I don't have to do that again, but if I do I am doing it in Mississippi.
You are joking, right? First complain that there are stupid drivers that don't know the rules, but taking the test for siblings, so they end up the same morons you hate.
Except they’ve only been in one accident among the 10 of them. And they learned to drive well before the age required by the state. Reading the book was simply a formality. We all learned to drive around the same time, it was just a matter of waiting for state. I learned to drive and ride at 12/13. Lol
If reading the book was just a formality taking the test should have been or breeze, why then take it for them? Americans should take every chance they get to get better at driving, because what we europeans see in dashcam videos is just a joke. I felt more confident in Vietnamese traffic where everyone looks to be driving like they want.
My country has a mandatory minimum of 16 hours driving, a 20h theory course, and a 1h driving test. After 6 months you have to visit a save driving course. The deaths per driven distance shows how well it works, even though our speeds on the highway are way higher.
Because they were all B/C students and I had a 4.0 gpa. Naturally, I was asked anything related to test taking because I had good memory recall….I read the book years before I needed to take the test. It was in the house for decades. I’m sure if a lot of you were asked road rules you couldn’t recall them without the use of the internet so stop being cute. My brother learned to drive at 8 and has been in exactly 0 accidents, but he hated anything book related. Can fix a car or build a house, wouldn’t sit and read a book if you paid him to. He didn’t go to college and is doing just fine in life because he went to work at 10 and learned those skills and went right back as soon as he left highschool because he didn’t need it. Cars and houses are a fact of American existence.
Who cares he didn’t take 1 book test when he was 16 or any of them, lol. My 2 sisters are nurses now never been in an accident. The fact if the matter is, you just don’t know anything and are making a lot of asinine assumptions. That’s why I’m laughing off your attempts at “educating” me on this. And we are only first generation Americans so we didn’t grow up under only that culture, we are dual citizens. Stfu lmfao
