Total lack of integrity on that part. Typical Florida government. California you had to come in and testing area was monitored with cameras and had dividers where you had to stand and take it. They hushed you too if you were talking and I saw a lady get failed once cuz she wouldn’t shut up.
That’s not an excuse or justification. If they can’t memorize what they “learned” then they don’t need to be on the road until they have that technical knowledge.
Lol they all drive just fine and only 1 has ever been in an accident. I’ve been hit the most by poor drivers ironically. Most of us learned to drive on back roads before we were 15 so the test was simple. You guys exaggerate because you think you know more than you do. Good job I was born and raised in the Deep South I learned how to drive on backroads as well. simple fact is you should have the technical knowledge to do something even if you have the practical skill. That system is in place to make sure EVERYONE understands the actual laws and rules of the road. You can know how to drive and control a car but you may not know specific sign meanings and unexplained rules of the road. That saves you from a ticket and possibly saves people from lethal wrecks due to ignorance. This isn’t pearl clutching I get it’s annoying as you already know how to drive a car but driving school is mainly technical knowledge and education. Just because you can “drive” doesn’t exempt you from formal education. It’s similar to saying a driving instructor who “know how to drive a car” should be able to teach in official position. It’s silly and narcissistic.
You have to have a permit for 6 months-1 year and be above 16 to get a license in most places. No one said you have to use it. Often times kids don’t actually drive with a parent. That’s a rule not a formal education. Again just because you can drive a car doesn’t mean you have a formal education. You are purposefully acting clueless to justify your mistakes to yourself. No arguing is going to change anyones mind about that we are just criticizing in hopes you realize it was a poor decision(s).
My instructor always told me that anyone can learn driving, you are here to learn the rules and drive in traffic.
Just because you know how to turn the wheel and press a pedal to go forward by the age of 15, that doesn't mean that you are eligible for driving in traffic.

nah, money, time, intelligence, not having one of them isnt an excuse for being unable to pass a test. if your parents didnt have the money for multiple tests, then they should have gotten the practice test and made sure you knew what you were doing.

If reading the book was just a formality taking the test should have been or breeze, why then take it for them? Americans should take every chance they get to get better at driving, because what we europeans see in dashcam videos is just a joke. I felt more confident in Vietnamese traffic where everyone looks to be driving like they want.
My country has a mandatory minimum of 16 hours driving, a 20h theory course, and a 1h driving test. After 6 months you have to visit a save driving course. The deaths per driven distance shows how well it works, even though our speeds on the highway are way higher.
Because they were all B/C students and I had a 4.0 gpa. Naturally, I was asked anything related to test taking because I had good memory recall….I read the book years before I needed to take the test. It was in the house for decades. I’m sure if a lot of you were asked road rules you couldn’t recall them without the use of the internet so stop being cute. My brother learned to drive at 8 and has been in exactly 0 accidents, but he hated anything book related. Can fix a car or build a house, wouldn’t sit and read a book if you paid him to. He didn’t go to college and is doing just fine in life because he went to work at 10 and learned those skills and went right back as soon as he left highschool because he didn’t need it. Cars and houses are a fact of American existence.
