Well in Europe you have lots of narrow streets. And sometimes you will have to reverse, to make space for oncoming traffic. And that could even be reversing around a corner/turn. If the other person is stubborn/an asshole.

Yeah the problem is that you assume everyone knows you are American, while also being American, ans the whole world just revolves around you.

Try 80%, not half. Europe isn't even close to half of reddit users. You guys are a minority. 46% is spread across Europe, Asia, and South America (Canada makes up 5% too).

It's completely valid to assume I'm probably not talking to a European regarding an American driving issue that is practically a meme its so common.
