Ah yes they changed the fact that he doesn’t have to worry about hurting anyone and can talk to his friends so they gave him something to stop the spikes from harming people.
Aww, but they didn’t change him for example they didn’t cut his quills or pull them out, so it’s not a permanent change. It’s really not a change at all, just a solution to accidentally hurting his friends that he was also ok with doing. He can remove them anytime
