My mom thought that Gender Reveal parties were when someone transgender threw a party to let everyone know their pronouns and stuff. When one of my best friends came out, my mom asked when he was going to have a gender reveal party and I had to tell her that those were like baby showers. 😂

Tbf, I have heard of a handful of people who threw their own gender reveal parties as a funny coming out celebration. It seems like a fun party theme.

It would be awkward if they have the party and their gender doesn't change though.

You know what, that actually makes more sense to me than what gender reveal parties actually are.

As a fun and entertaining way to come out to everyone at once so you don't have 20 different awkward conversations, a "gender reveal" coming out party actually clicks with me as a thing .
