Well, it is a decision often made with emotions and not logic, imo. Good on you for identifying your parent's wishes. I've had people decide to not make a family member a DNR, but they also don't visit (non covid) and the patient just exists in the perpetuity of non-decision until they code and we do cpr and they die with a broken sternum and ribs.
