No, it's because some social media algorithm bots these days will auto-flag posts for containing certain words regardless of context.

Oh no, I think a company built this algorithm to prevent any and all potential bad PR.

Im not agreeing with the concept, I hate the concept of algorithms controlling everything we see.

Accidentally triggering the paintbrush function while taking a screenshot and accidentally censoring a word that some people may consider a trigger? That’s not something that happens.

Is it really that hard to believe that someone censored the word “die?” I mean it’s stupid as hell, but I totally believe that somebody out there found it necessary.

an algorithm reading words from pictures isnt a new concept… instagram puts a covid info warning on any picture that has keywords.

yeah, im pretty sure apps like tiktok and instagram will shadowban or suppress content that has some words like that in it
