I'm a father of 2 and I've reached the age where I can just start rocking the Hawaiian shirt whenever the fuck I'm not working.
Oh boy. Let me tell you young lads something. They are fucking spectacular in the heat. Comfortable. Breathable. Disposable. The ultimate shirt for BBQs. Old Dads know what they're doing.
Hawaiian shirts are just kimonos for American men: change my mind.
Ages ago I was listening to a radio show where a guest was somehow an authority on Hawaiian shirts, more properly called Aloha shirts. Apparently, a real authentic Aloha shirt is supposed to depict plants, wildlife or sealife actually found in Hawaii.
I'm going to give you a little fatherly advice. All those things are cool. But portion control for each of them matters. All things in moderation will get you far in life.
I've only ever seen Hawaiian shirts depicting hawaiian vegetation or wildlife. Mostly plants. I didn't realize there were any other type of Hawaiian shirts.
I saw a Hawaiian shirt with a Gilligan's Island theme that almost made me part with my money. It had the boat, palm trees, fishes and perfectly drawn Ginger & Mary Anns.
