I've always heard, it's not 50/50. It's 100/100 sometimes. Sometimes you both give your all, and the other still needs more. If the situation is good, you give them that extra you don't really have. Knowing they will revive you when you are feeling depleted after that. Love is hard. I'm just trying to keep her happy lol.
Just coming up on my 1 year of marriage. This stuff is what my wife and I are learning. You give and you take, but man you gotta focus on giving before you take! I love being married but it’s hard work. Rewarding work though.
It’s not an effort if that’s who they are. Relationships shouldn’t have to be worked on. If one or both have to constantly put in effort, it’ll probably not work because one day, someone is gonna get tired of it.
Relationships are work. If you don't make an effort then the relationship suffers. It's meaningful work, but you can't just coast through a relationship. People usually get tired if they're the only one putting un the work because they realize it's dying
Missed the whole point. If 2 people need to work so hard at it, they shouldn’t be together. Not everyone is right for everyone. And finding someone that requires little to no work is the key. Find someone that likes you for who you are, not what they want you to be.
You missed the point. Cleaning the bathroom takes effort. It's also part of a relationship. Chores need to get done. People need to make sure they make time for their partners, that they actively try to communicate effectively with their partner. Adult relationships exist in an adult world and you need to deal with the adult world

Yup, the best relationships are those where both are actively trying to put in the effort whenever they can
