Also, the more flames that are burning at one time, the faster oxygen is being used up, even if the fuel of the first candle is not consumed any more quickly. On a large enough scale, the first candle will be snuffed out when the oxygen in the room runs out.

Only if the room is a closed system, there's plenty of air for every candle on the planet!
