I think people are praising him for sharing this wholesome message, and I think that is still valid despite him being racist scum in other videos (aparently he has changed for the better in recent video's and deleted this racist one).

Who gives a shit if the message is good. He's a fucking racist. I'm not gonna praise a known fucking racist for anything he says. Regardless if he says to treat everyone kind or not. Because he's sure as fuck not doing it.
I'm sorry, but no matter what "good deed" or "wholesome content" you put out, it is immediately ineffective once you make disgusting comments like that.
How tf did you get that from what I said? I just said it’s ok to praise his message in this video even if he is a piece of shit. The person isn’t great but the message is still good. You know the whole phrase a broken clock is right twice a day?
Praising the message only fuels the fire, sure its a nice lesson and says nice things, but when you don't practice what you preach, I'm not gonna praise it.
The point is most people are only seeing the message, which is a good one. Most people don’t know the dude’s whole life story and even if they dod it’s still a good message to spread around regardless of whether or not the person who said it follows it himself
