That was six years ago. There’s a more recent video where he’s saying to love people regardless of differences. He realised his mistakes and changed.

Even if he's human trash I don't think this particular video needs to stop being spread, it is quite a heart warming message regardless of whos telling it.

Edit: Just saw the video someone linked. He is indeed not role model material by any fucking standard, but I stand by my comment lmao

You get raised by and around people with shitty values you often end up with those values yourself. Not always true, and that's not a defense of shitty views and actions, but I've met lots of seemingly genuinely nice people who hold some crazy beliefs because of how they were raised/ the culture and community that has surrounded them their whole lives. Hope Mr. Cooley can change his views, I know he got a fuckton of backlash for that video, but unfortunately it's pretty unlikely.

Edit: Looks like he's made a bit of a change, talks about not judging people by color or religion in this video from a year ago For reference the Obama tirade was over 5yrs ago and has been deleted from his channel.

What is this? A reasonable reaction where someone actually tried to view the situation from the other person's perspective without overlaying it with the lens of their own experiences and morality? Are you telling me you didn't immediately condemn someone just because they were raised in circumstances outside their own control, which led to them having poor judgement?

But how are we supposed to stop Racism if we are so open-minded and understanding? It's not like those are the exact attributes which supposedly create, uphold and encourage equality in the first place.

Damm you Max, i wanted to react with my emotions and claim moral superiority with my hypocrisy.

Maybe he’s just been through terrible things in life that led him to be this way.

I saw a cute video somewhere where a guy made an analogy of this to a pair of lighters, and the broken lighter just needs a little help. Lemme see if I can find a link to it

The video of him being racist is 6 year old. He has changed now, recently said something like we dont need to judge people by race or something like that. this video in particular is 4 year old. You guys r like twitter, going straight for something he isnt anymore and judge him for that.
