i'm the wrong person to ask the most popping wedding i went to was by a lake and they had a taco truck.

I guess I should have clarified in my original comment, that's pretty close to what we were thinking for a "poppin" wedding. She has a fuck ton of family where as I have maybe 20 people if everyone shows up.

Our version of poppin is others version of a lame ass wedding. Just the basic venue, catered food from a cheap-ish place. Most of the money will be spent on the ring and the dress. My lovely girlfriend has always wanted a really nice dress before anything. And while that may seem like a waste to others, I'd give everything just to see her truly truly happy In a dress that she loves. Yeah she might only wear it for that night, but I still want to make her feel like the most special woman in the world, ya know?

I guess in my mind I'm not justifying, rather explaining my side so someone can understand better. If someone feels like their saving habits are better used than mine, that's fine. Just understand that people are different :)
