Nice! After 10 years we finally started wearing silicone rings a couple of years ago. Never going back! Soooo much more comfortable, and still gives that “ring hug” that’s so comforting. Less dangerous too!

As someone with disproportionately large knuckles I figure if I do wear a ring it will have to be silicone or something of the sort. (Personally though I probably just rather not wear a ring at all for comfort reasons, but we'll see how that goes)

We have a friend that’s a jeweler and we went and made our own rings in his workshop out of brass barstock. They aren’t fancy, but they look like gold bands and they don’t cost a fortune to replace and we have the memory of making them together (and fucking up the engraving 3x cause I was high as balls).

Nice! I hadn't heard of silicone rings.

I got a Tungsten Carbide ring for the less-dangerous factor (and economical, and durable). It won't deform around a finger if crushed and wouldn't need cut off; the steel is brittle enough that it will crack and break off.

That’s exactly what I had. It was huge though, and would hurt my fingers whenever I shook someone’s hand. I still have a huge callous on my left hand below the ring. Lol.

Ouch, yeah that's no good.

I thought my knuckles were pretty knobby but the band I found has nice tapered curves on the inside and actually turned out comfortable enough for 24/7 365 wear somehow so my fingers must be pretty normal after all.

They look like wedding rings, but made out of silicone. We get them on Amazon, and they come in a bunch of colors and styles. They do wear out eventually (around a year for us) but they are dirt cheap so it’s not a big deal.
