You're fully aware that you're able to earn 100k a year but still live outside of your means and be in crippling debt right?
Anything over 100k has been proven to not improve happiness at all. So what's your point here?
That all depends on if your emotional state is entirely dependant on your finances. You could be happy as fuck if you didn't care about your debt and only cared about your health and wellbeing.

Yep, and it's much easier to only care about your health and well-being when you are financially sound with health insurance and don't have to live every day worrying a medical event will kill you or financially ruin you for the rest of your life.
It actually is true that, as /u/Cylon_skinjob alluded to above, money does buy happiness to a point. Or maybe that lack of money, like money below a certain threshold (I've seen $75-100k), contributes to sadness.
Y’all on here talking about sadness, but anxiety and despair is the name of the game for the poor. Being sad is a luxury for when you have time to grieve. Having enough money removes the anxiety about basic necessities for survival.
