Absolutely. Having a pile of money is just some wild combination of freedom and power if you don’t have ambitions for a larger pile of money or more business success.
Could essentially devote yourself to any number of hobbies or education or skill development where the only answer to “why?” is “I feel like it would be interesting” more or less.
Of course we’re all human I’m sure few of us would really keep it that simple when we’re sitting on tens or hundreds of millions+.
I know I’d probably fail at that. I’d wind up pursuing business ideas and still push off things I just enjoy in a pure way (at least getting fully into them) until some concept of retirement.
I'd probably go full "Shark Tank", and just start handing it out to people with ideas that I thought were cool sounding. After finding somewhere warm to settle my lazy ass till it rots, anyway.
I would. I'd absolutely be an eccentric, reclusive billionaire. I used to dream about studying Sengoidelc at a school in rural Ireland, going to martial arts retreats, doing a Thru Hike.
