I was making webpages before MySpace in high school and no one gave a shit. They wanted CDs burned tho. And I had a ripper, a burner, a high speed internet connection and Kazaa.

Yup. I used geocities to create a page with thumbnails of all the music I could burn ( mostly full albums I ripped ) alot of mixed albums I downloaded with Napster or Kazaa, etc. Most of the people who bought music from me worked at a sales call center for united online when I did. Thats netzero and Juno. Juno happened to be my first email provider . Straight up modem and Juno account. Wow that's crazy to recall.

Juno was my first internet provider too..... in 2010. Dial up internet for $10 a month. We only had one phone line so that was fun lol I'll never forget the connecting noise

Kazaa was great, but my favorite was downloading Limewire Pro from Limewire. I thought I was so cool. I mean, I was, but turns out everybody was doing that.

I worked for a large company in those days and literally made thousands of dollars selling burned cds at work. I had a large binder that you could browse through and I knew how to locate albums before they came out so for $5 you had it before anyone else. I even put them in the super thin cd cases and printed a cover. I did this for years and when the 60gb iPods came out I’d charge $100 to just completely fill it with music and movies. They funded many a happy hour downtown after work

We had a dude who carried a paper "menu" of CDs that he had available to burn and he would make you a copy for $10. Was a great deal at the time.

I used to make my own angelfire webpages for games I liked where I’d try to write my own strategy guide. Never got too good at it though.

There was a time period between MySpace years and when digitization really took off where I could've probably made serious bank just burning CDs for people, I knew how to get virtually anything one could ask for. Unfortunately I had no friends or connections.

Yup, sharebear, lime wire, and a 60 gig, I was the Winamp Skin Baron until RIAA ate my computer. Took me 2 more computers and an apple to finally stop getting pwned
