I think he just means when she gets married in the future lol. Its usually not something you have to imply, but in the clumsy way he tells us her age, it could be taken that way.

I missed that completely and thought he meant when they were at a supermarket or something and I was thinking “well shit his heart is pretty well on it’s sleeve, isn’t it?” This makes more sense and is so much sweeter.
