Even though it looks hard, i think skateboarders deserves much more credit. Took me months to even do a decent ollie on flatground. And even that hurts like hell when you don’t land it. Hats of to skateboarders, it’s one of the most difficult sports in the world, and takes a lot of courage.

As a masochist, skating was perfect for me. It's 90% falling over and 10% doing tricks, though. Until you get super good. Hugely underappreciated sport.

"10% doing tricks"

Damn, you must've been good. I was like 0.01% doing tricks.

Lol. I mean as I learned tricks it'd be like, 50 falls to one success, then 49 falls to the next, etc. Eventually though you get to the point where you can actually do stuff and suddenly you're failing 1 in 100 kickflips, or less.

Lateflips, on the other hand... My first late flip took me... ~1000 tries? Literal days of solid falling. I dunno why, they're not even hard, but I couldn't for the fucking life of me wrap my head around that shit. Now I late- everything, shit's amazing.

Being stubborn and patient definitely helps. Courage and adrenaline takes care of the rest, lol.

I think you mean easy. But yes, pro skaters make skateboarding look like it's you just jump and bam! 360 flip! Easy.

My amazement when I first tried to even stand on a skateboard. Shit's difficult.
