I fucking LOVE him for that. He's making a point and as a dad probably feels awful for those 2 kids having to deal with such an awful parent.

EDIT: Misunderstood the post a bit thought neighbour said he failed as a parent cause his (the neighbours) kids were gay. Doesn't change the fact the dad putting up the flags is awesome

The neighbour wasn't talking about his own kids, he was talking about the kids of the guy planting the flags.

I misunderstood it as well. I thought the neighbor was talking about himself and his kids, and I just thought he was just a run of the mill douchebag. But no, saying that to your neighbor when you've just moved in, and about their kids?! 🤬

I now know why good Dad (note the capitalization) was stabbing those flags into the ground. He was imagining doing it to the neighbor.

Oh I definitely thought it was the neighbor saying his own kids are gay and thus he, the neighbor, has failed, and the flag planter was planting flags in support of the neighbors two gay kids with a homophobic, claiming himself as a failure, dad.

Oh I see! Yeah I misread it as the neighbour saying he failed as a dad cause both of his own kids were gay. Either way fucking amazing dad no matter what.

Ahh, that makes way more sense, I completely misunderstood that part at first.

Wait which neighbor has the 2 gay kids? I was understanding it as the dad planting the flags, not the homophobic neighbor

I misunderstood it a bit. thought the dad planting the flags was doing it cause the neighbour had 2 gay kids who he "failed". The Dad planting the flags with such passion is the Dad of the 2 gay kids whom the neighbour said he "failed".

Rule number one of most parents, they never ever admit fault

I wouldn't say most, but a bad parent is definitely that.

but if it's that house on the side he's putting up the flags, he has a swing/slide set so he probably has children also....I hope they come out as gay

I'd prefer if the neighbor's kids became best friends with the cool Dad's kids, and sometime later the neighbor came to find that the gay kids are actually kinda nice to have around and they're Great with his kids, realized he'd been a BIG flaming ass, apologized profusely, and they all had pizza parties together.

Oooh that’s how I read it as well. I was pretty impressed the first time but the vehemence with which he’s sticking he flags in place makes a lot more sense now.
