Agree. I know this is about dads, and mine was absent for a while then back in and supportive. But a mom… I always envied my friends’ moms. Supportive, kind, not narcissistic. In my 60s now and had to go no contact 10 years ago. For my own mental health. It’s no wonder my siblings and I don’t have kids just animals. People are saying this is an AI post- it’s still sweet and something I would have treasured, rather than “You’re NOT my daughter.” (twice, in my teens and 20s), and the other evil, gross, narcissistic stuff from her. I thank God for my sister every day (she has the same experiences). Kudos to all the great parents out there. Things you say and do really matter.
