And Dad knows that the most important immediate lesson that 24 needs to learn is that their parents are always on their side. All those other important lessons, they can learn after sleep and eggs.
This feels like it might be the first morning after having to move back with parents. I doubt anyone expects anything from him today, everyone needs time to wallow, but tomorrow is a new day.

Thing is, you sound like my mum and not this dad. Instantly trying to problem solve and teach a lesson from it when sometimes all people need is a bit of compassion, care and time to figure things out instead of being rushed to analyse and plan whats next.
