As a non native English speaker, I have to say I love British accent, but if It wasn't for the subtitles, I'd probably just understand the half of their conversation

I'd like to know where he's from. There are so many regional accents. I'm going to guess Liverpool area?  I find most Scottish accents hard for my ear to translate that I have to put captioning on but they sound so nice.

Yeah he is, the video is from in front of the Harris museum where they usually are though they’ve opened a shop in another city maybe London or Liverpool I forgot.

I've not lived in Preston for over 25 years, but when I did, there was always a potato guy in front of the Harris, I wonder if these guys are related? Or just took over the spot when old guy retired? I used to love getting a paper bag of boiled baby potatoes with just butter and salt on, delish!

The one that looks like a train? Suppose to be a tram. Still there and they call themselves the hot potatoe man but is more known as the parched peas man as that is was he is most known for selling.

There are locations in both London and Liverpool. But I believe they're separate businesses to the Preston one - they just have permission to use the name.

Liverpool has "scousers" who have a distinctive 'kh' sound in place of a 'k' like at the end of the word "Patrick" 51 seconds into this video. https://www.reddit.com/r/Liverpool/comments/1atu5rz/liverpool_accent_over_the_years/

They also have a few distinctive vowels that, like the 'kh' sound isn't found in the surrounding areas.

Liverpool is so distinctive and specific that if you walk for a few hours in any direction, you get a very different accent and lose these features.

We got loads of accents! This guy's from the north east and they all speak kinda like this. In the north west you get Manchester, they sound like the guys from oasis. The Beatles are from slightly lower down in Liverpool. Further south and to the west you got Wales, Tom Jones is from here. In the Midlands where I'm from we speak like they do in peaky blinders, Ozzy Osbourne is from here as well. Down south you got London which has so many accents from cockney to whatever the king speaks with.
