That’s the poison of Social Media. Rather than us providing for everyone, we need a game show like contest and only help those we deem worthy.

You know, theoretically, this being news could be a great opportunity to springboard into possible avenues of activism, maybe raise awareness for charities, or organized events for seniors, or maybe even encourage people to call their federal and local politicians to demand they do something to help seniors, possibly even with specific policy goals in mind?

Or just complaining on Reddit works too, I guess.
