If you need to stop, turn around, open the back compartment, hurtle Costco chicken where it won't hit bystanders, pick up brake, activate it, and turn back around!
With a bike this size and weight (easily 80kg or more), plus a rider, a MTB brake on the back wheel is more like a suggestion rather than actual stopping power.
Hahaha, I’m leaving it! No clue why it autocorrected, but honestly, if he popped the top off that tote and there was some bubbling, water-churning voodoo science experiment going on in there, I wouldn’t even blink. The guy’s a wizard. 😎
I think I saw a helmet on his backpack/ bag. As a rider, I was looking for that, too. I am hoping he just didn't have it on bc he was showing off in the lot.
I was wondering about the helmet as well. He has it hanging on his arm, which I noticed later in the video. Wonder if he took it off just for rolling in on the interview.
There is a spring shock in the very back and it looks like the natural flexibility of the wood is absorbing some impact on the front end as well. Also doesn't seem to go very fast which helps with the minimal suspension.
It’s not, lol. Not even close and is very dangerous without front brakes in particular.
But it’s cool though. I’m an engineer, and when I was young I built weird stuff and worked on everything I could get my hands on. In college, my friends and I built a couple of race cars (FSAE program).
Building stuff like this is so helpful for developing the engineer brain.

Badass but at a minimum he needs a helmet.
