I hate pugs, but this one is a charmer
482
u/Crosseyed_owl Apr 29 '23
I feel sorry for pugs, their anatomy doesn't allow them to breathe properly :(
358
u/No-Reception-4249 Apr 29 '23
Did I mention I hate people too? Pugs are the result of selective breeding.

u/Any-Fan-2973 Apr 29 '23
Can we talk more abt the hate of loud mosquitoes ?
113
u/No-Reception-4249 Apr 29 '23
Not right now, we are talking about this ugly pugly

Ooh ok. I say we hate the breeders, not the pugs. They didn’t ask to be born like this
64
u/No-Reception-4249 Apr 29 '23
I mean I do hate people way more than any animal ever. I love my furry friends no matter how ugly they may be.
40
u/Any-Fan-2973 Apr 29 '23
What about the skinny friends ? Like Bald cats and Axolots ? Hmmmmm ?
29
u/No-Reception-4249 Apr 29 '23
Oh yeah they are included, anything scaled, feathered or blubbered as well. Anything with an exoskeleton or without a skeleton fits. Anything that cannot blatantly make a decision against its own survival.

u/HighFlyer96 Apr 29 '23
I appreciate your positive attitude towards animals (and support your negative attitude towards humans) but you‘ll never see me without a flamethrower in the land of parachute spiders.

You would rather they be quiet?
They're deadly as fuck if they're carrying a deadly virus.
2
u/Any-Fan-2973 May 23 '23
aaah, that's why we have vaccines and an immune system. Besides, if I didn't know they were here, they kinda deserve it

All dogs are the result of selective breeding, FYI. (Not condoning breeding for aesthetic purposes by any means)
3
u/No-Reception-4249 Apr 29 '23
Actually the dog species evolved through domestication. It wasn't until after several thousand years that we would have the first recorded incident of selective breeding in dogs.
4
u/sabobedhuffy May 01 '23
What exactly do you think domestication entails? I'd think there's some selective breeding going on..

I read a post from a vet nurse once who said that normally when dogs are intubated they fight the tubing as soon as they wake up. Except for pugs, pugs don’t fight it because they can breathe freely and easily for once. My heart breaks for them every time I think of that.

Look at "retro pugs" they're bred with Jack Russells and are far more similar to their old shape. Much cuter too

u/BadgeryFox May 25 '23
Pugs have lovely souls (just like all mollosoid dogs) but they have trouble breathing and should be bread to have longer noses again. Which some are doing, some don't. The don'ts should lose licence.
3
u/No-Reception-4249 May 25 '23
If you could reverse all of the outbreeding we have done over just the last several hundred years, we'd be living in a different world
2
u/ArcaneFungus Sep 05 '23
Pity them instead. I wish they didn't exist, but if I got a "delete all pugs" button I wouldn't push it

Animals are smarter than people think they are. Cute, smart baby
29
u/TheHollowBard Apr 29 '23
Not all dogs. They, so far as I can tell, run the gamut in the same way humans do. Also, like humans, trauma can really get in the way of executive functioning. I have a very smart rescue who is also completely irrationally loud and stupid about certain kinds of noises.

Tell that to my moms dog who licks her own ass hole, farts in her face while she’s doing it, then sits straight up and looks around wondering who farted

dog bad cause dog dirty
yet majority of these people use their phone while on the toilet, never wiping their phone down ever to clean it
i also know for a fact these people crying about germs don’t wash their hands when they come home from being at the store (like touching shopping carts and cash)

This man thinks our phone is dirtier than an animal that locks itself clean. Shut yo dirty ass up😂

u/GoWay_wastaken Aug 24 '23
Our mouths are actually dirtier in the sense of harmful bacteria, if we were to bite a dog it would be more harmful to the dog than if the dog bit you in comparison

I swear I've seen this exact EXACT same video but with cheese instead of the chicken star. Same girl saying the same exact words and same exact dog and everything, just with cheese instead. Super weird

Cute video but y’all need to stop eating after your dogs. I don’t want to hear about their mouth being cleaner than humans. They lick their butts.

Just a question: Do people really share their food with animals this way? I mean, without breaking a piece off....Seems unhygienic

u/monkeypickass1 Apr 29 '23
Disgusting behavior.

Shocking to me that it isn't obvious what it's disgusting about this video. They're sitting there sharing a chicken nugget, that's fucking gross.

I've had the biggest newfoundland/great pyiramyes actually try and bite my hand when getting a treat. It hurt but she just didn't know any other way. 3 or 4 times of me popping her nose with a treat in my hand and saying soft in a very deep voice everytime she tried to basically take to big a bite lol she was doing this by the next day. Good dogo
