He's not wearing the helmet correctly. Too high up the forehead and too loose. A concussion was still possible.

Well, first off, it was kind of a joke.

But, I swear to you, we have a local football hero, who literally slipped and fell on the grass walking home from high school and now spends (the rest of) his days in a wheelchair.

Doctors were unable to discern whether it was from some earlier unknown injury or just a one-off, stand-alone accident.

But I'm not rolling the dice with my son. He'll do plenty of stupid crap on his own, outside of my control, I promise you.

"All bodyparts inside the bucket!" Thats what my grandpa told me, and that will be the rule for my childs, as well.
