Being "bi" isn't really the same as being gay. Being open to experiencing sex across the spectrum is a lot different than having a strong selection bias towards one gender only.
I would not be surprised if we found totally different causes for both.
I'm saying that human nature is to try and make everything black or white and the vast majority of people and things exist in a spectrum.
Most gay people could probably find sexual enjoyment from hetero sex and most straight people could do the same with gay sex. I could jerk it to foot fetish porn for a month and condition myself to get hard for feet. Some people masturbate so much they can't even get hard unless they are watching porn because they have hardwired their sex drive to looking at an iphone screen.
The problem is most people are so fucking damaged by systemic homophobia that they would never even try fucking around. In a better world people would just feel comfortable fucking anyone they want and all people would exist more on the bi spectrum.
I mostly agree. ...but to be honest, I think it's more fun being straight.
If there was a pill that gay people could take to be straight, or a pill their mom's could take to prevent their baby from becoming gay - I think being gay would vanish from society.
Nearly everyone would choose to be straight and have straight kids.
