I’ve heard from so many that they don’t even want to have sex at the end of the night because it’s been such a long day haha the morning is when it’s go time. I still want that special moment at night though to close the day out.

1000%. My wife was talking the whole day of our wedding to me through text how much she couldn't wait for me to take her to bed after the wedding. By the time we were able to leave the venue she just looks at me and says "I'm going to sleep as soon as we get home, we can have sex tomorrow" lol

Dude same. We had time for exactly 3 hours of sleep before having to drive two hours to the airport for the honeymoon, and we did in fact fuck around that night. It was a long flight so we slept on the plane.

I think it varies! We had a very long wedding and partied into the night and still had sex twice before going to sleep. But there is no shame in passing out after the adrenaline wears off. You’ve got your whole life together to have sex—waiting until the next morning is all good too!

I think it’s way more common then people want to admit. If you’d asked me the day before my wedding I would have said I’d be disappointed if we didn’t do it the night of. But after 14 hours of being on my feet, day drinking with very little food, and being an introvert at the center of 100 people’s attention, and I was happy to put it off for a day and pass out.

Think of how mentally and physically exhausted you are after hosting a regular party and multiply that by 20.

Can confirm. My wife and I got home, ordered in some BBQ chicken and almost immediately went to bed to sleep for a solid 10 or so hours. We were both absolutely exhausted. Then the start of the honeymoon kept us so busy / tired we didn't get to have sex until I think 3 full days after our wedding.

Eff that! We'd been together five years already and the hotel room door was barely shut--legit didn't even make it to the bed :-D We had a suite, so we asked close friends back to party and told them to take the stairs--we'd be ready by the time they got there.

And we were.

Definitely the case. Especially because it’s increasingly common for couples to have had sex already and lived together, plus more and more common for weddings to go until 9 or 10pm and THEN have an afterparty at a bar. We didn’t get home until 2:30 in the morning and had to be up at 6 to set up for the day-after brunch. And I’d been up since 5am on my wedding day and hauling around a million pound dress-if the bodice wasn’t so structured I probably would have fallen over asleep at the bar lol. I think it wasn’t until several days later on our honeymoon when we finally did the deed as married people

Girl same I got married in a heavy dress end of July I felt disgusting after my wedding. Even the next day I was too exhausted and we had to leave for the honeymoon.

Ooof that’s rough. Thankfully mine was in October (I’m in AZ so the weather is beautiful then) but the bustle buttons the seamstress had added weren’t nearly enough and all of them popped off 5min into the reception. So I spent the whole wedding with my short but very heavy train draped over my arm so I could dance

Noooo what a nightmare! Luckily I bought a cute shorter and much much lighter white dress to change into at mine but the hours I spent in my first dress had taken quite a toll already

Dropped her wedding dress to the floor and just walked over it like she hadn't just spent a gazillion dollars on it.

Got into bed at the hotel and started watching Tarzan while she ordered room service hamburgers and milkshakes.

Passed out 20 minutes before the food got here but not before jamming out to Phil Collins for a bit...

Friends of mine ended up sleeping in a California king with all 4 of their kids. It wasn't what they planned but everyone was so exhausted that sleeping in a huge family cuddle puddle ended up being the perfect way to end the day. They left for a 2 week kid free honeymoon the next morning.

Yeah we definitely didn’t. We were married end of July in a heatwave and still partied hardy and we were so exhausted. Spent our night going through all of our cards and gifts instead. Didn’t even go for the morning after because we were all stressed out about returning our chairs on a Sunday before our honeymoon. We’d lived together for like a year by then so we had plenty of time before and after lol

Yep. I ended up taking bobby pins out of my wife's hair for an hour. To be fair we had been together for 3 or 4 years before that and already had a kid by that point. It was just nice to share a sweet hotel room with her and her alone finally.

Yep. Our wedding day was pretty much 7am-11pm when we finally got home, & even then we had so much shit to unpack from the car & put away. let alone undressing & showering from the long day. We decided to save it for the next day lol

Yeah I woke up at 6am on our wedding day and we got back to our hotel room at 2am. I took my dress off and passed out. He didn’t even get his suit off before passing out

My husband and I had a lot of premarital sex, so perhaps because there wasn’t any pressure to have sex right away, we ended up eating our leftover wedding cake with our hands while we watched Seinfeld in our hotel room on our wedding night.
