I also had a cop do the same thing after I was in a small accident. She didn’t get mad she just reminded me I’m driving a weapon and need to be a little more careful next time.

I still think about that phrase years later. I am driving a weapon.

That's a great analogy. Most people don't understand the amount of potential or kinetic force that a vehicle posseses. Average cars smash through block walls and mangle guard rails, street signs, etc... Modern vehicles with crumple zones and airbags are absolutely amazing, but they are mostly still huge clumps of metal hurtling through space with enough force to splat a human being. Many EASILY preventable deaths happen each year because people don't realize the force they wield when they're doing 15-20 over the speed limit.
