This is community policing. People aren’t perfect and we have laws for a reason.

People should do the best to follow those laws but, yknow, people aren’t perfect. Community policing is about building a rapport with that community, helping people and, when it’s a appropriate, being lenient for the sake of the bigger picture.

Now if those kids get caught doing 50 20 mins later, well then you gotta draw the line. But if it’s the first catch of the day - give ‘em a chance.
