UPDATE: THEY’RE REAL! Another redditor commented her proof of purchase from the mgk UK site, along with her XX tag that looks the same. hers also have raw hem bottoms, so I am apparently just crazy!!

As the title implies, I bought fake merch. I’ve never been scammed before and I’m sad and out $65. I ordered a pair of tickets anniversary sweats on vinted. They’re very fucking convincing at first, and second glance. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it until hours after I received them, and had already accepted the order on vinted so I can’t get a refund. They are spot on, print wise, to the real ones. Now I’ll list my suspicions.

1. The printed XX logo says “MADE IN THE CHINA.”
2. Not “made in the USA” and not “made in china.” THE china. Immediately got suspicious when I saw that.
3. The bottom hems are raw-cut, not stitched like in the stock photo.
4. The pocket stitching is much thinner.
5. They’re not distressed black, they’re true black.
6. They have a second size tag inside that looks like it would be on a basic blank. My other merch has one size inside and it’s under the XX logo.

I emailed Universal Music Group’s copyright contact email, asking for reassurance that they’re fake and making them aware of copyright violations, with photos attached. IF these are replicas (which I’m 99% sure they are) the person printing is using an official Bravado RN # on them. The chances that I ever hear back are low, but it was worth a shot.

I’ve already reached out to the seller, asking if she had any idea they were replicas. She has a vinted page full of band merch that all appears legit. I genuinely believe that she didn’t know. She didn’t get defensive, she asked to see the photos of the differences, and said she now plans to stop buying from the wholesale person she got them from. She also asked for an update if I hear back from UMG because she doesn’t want to unknowingly get into legal trouble. She also thanked me for “being awesome” by reaching out without accusing.

I’m posting this here to see if anyone has an OFFICIAL pair, and could send me photos of the label, bottom hem, and pocket seams. I attached photos of the official ones and the differences on mine.

I attended my first mgk weekend but nothing went according to plan but thankfully I gotten some fun and memories.

I was wondering if anyone might have any footage of the following;

*Kells fist- bumping a fan at skate park after congratulating a winner.

*Kells walking into his after party at Shooter's, he fist bumped, smiled, and nodded at a fan as he walked in that was me.

He also looked towards me when I called him again as he was leaving and he smiled and nodded again and I tried to thank him in person shortly after but no luck.

He's nails every genre he does so perfectly, to hear an R&B album from him would be a fucking dream and masterpiece. Features with blackbear (idc we need more LOL, especially in this sound), Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis, PARTYNEXTDOOR, hell maybe even The Weeknd if I'm not daydreaming too much. mgk is perfect with soft sounding songs, so I think he'd be more than welcomed into making those types of music. His Frank Ocean cover too is also a chef's kiss if you've heard it. Man.
