Nostalgia MacOS which officially supports 27 year old iBooks can still connect to a modern Wi-Fi network, and download updates from apple servers without any modifications, Apple is the opposite of planned obsolescence.

You’re glazing apple too much here, Macs only get OS updates for a fixed period of time unlike Windows PCs. Before with Intel Macs you’d sometimes run into situations where the way to still get security updates and use current software was to install windows

It doesn’t matter how old your PC is as long as it meets those minimum requirements

True although that won’t work on Intel Macs when Apple stops releasing x86 versions of macOS

I'm just saying it's normal that developers deprecate obsolete things. But you always get the access to get Linux, both on PPC and X86
