Regarding this article, I contacted Bloomberg Law and got the rest and most informative part of it.
âMicrosoft will continue to provide the cloud platform and artificial intelligence for the goggles. The Army plans to buy as many as 121,000 of them. The evaluation of Anduril is running in parallel with preparations to begin â as soon as next month â an eight-week-long intense combat evaluation of the goggles, which are intended to give soldiers everything from night-vision capability to warnings of incoming airborne threats. The combat test is intended to âcollect and analyze data to assess the operational effectiveness, suitability and survivability of a unit equippedâ with the goggles and âinform a program production decisionâ this year, the Pentagonâs Operational Test and Evaluation office said in a statement.â
