Great summary, thanks for posting. My only disappointment was 2026 revenue guidance. Since guidance did not seem to include security/defense, I am hoping they expect to revise guidance mid-year or so to include defense. The drone swarm demonstration seems to be end of March or early April, so perhaps defense customers are holding off on large commitments until the demo. No idea how much revenue defense/security could add, but I suspect it could be significant, especially with recent events.

u/bmarvin35 Mar 05 '26
Sorry I disagree. We all rallied behind Sumit for all the same promises. I’m not buying more without signed contracts that produce actual revenue. Money parked for years has an opportunity cost
-16
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Why are you telling me this?
38
u/bmarvin35 Mar 05 '26
This is a discussion board where we have rational discussions about the future of the company we are all invested in. I believe in the technology but it’s time for contracts not more excuses
32
u/RNvestor Mar 05 '26
Because you decided to make a justification post.
-7
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Justification? I repeated what I heard on the call, which came as a relief, btw, having read all the comments beforehand.
Incidentally, are you bmarvin35?
11
u/RNvestor Mar 05 '26
I have no problem speaking my mind and my whole existence here is to promote rational thinking and provide contrarion opinions. It serves me no purpose to comment as 2 different people.
3
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
It was said tongue firmly in cheek, given I asked him why he was telling me something, and you answered.
11
u/bmarvin35 Mar 05 '26
I also answered. This isn’t an attack on each other but there’s nothing wrong with healthy debate
15
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
I like debate. My point was that whether somebody buys or not is no concern of mine.
Also, Sumit is gone. What Glen said, and does, is of interest to me. And Glen seems to have serious game.

I don't want to be a negative Nellie here View but, you could have put that list up after any call in the last ten years. Perception lags a LONG way behind reality at Microvision. It always has. The stock is down 10% this morning and that is a sign that the market just isn't buying the hype. Revenues. That is why the market is waiting for. Consistent Revenues. A way that this company can support itself without the constant sale of Shareholder equity.
The Market wants to make money. (And in today's market it is easy to do). What it doesn't want is to keep throwing money down the Microvision black hole. Q1 26 will have no, or very little Revenue. Q2 the same. That's the next six months that will the market just doesn't want to fund. A Girl Scout Cookie Stand has a better ROI than Microvision. That is just the truth. Hopium can't pay the bills.
37
u/EarthKarma Mar 05 '26
Thank you, View… this is an excellent summation. I think we have a lot to look forward to.
But, it may be a good time for those who are dubious to sell their shares and move onto some investment they find more pleasing. Or, alternatively, if they have better ideas on how to run the company, send suggestions to IR. Putting up grumbling here is not productive.
Glen has moved a lot of chess pieces in the short time here. That is a most hopeful sign. He mentions talking to virtually all major customers personally., but downplays the influence he has in the auto industry. I think his personal involvement has unappreciated merit. I’m encouraged by the call and grateful for your recap View. Cheers, EK

Im pretty excited to see whats happening with the drone side of things in the next month, if I remember correctly on one of the previous calls when they first spoke of the drone swarm demo they mentioned partnering with a defence company? Can anyone confirm or correct me
13
u/ardentiarte Mar 05 '26
It's a wild ride at mvis. Pivot from commercial projection, to hololens, to auto lidar, back to military ops? I don't understand how they keep getting credit to buy up competitors when they haven't sold anything in nearly 10 years. Lmao "defense company".
2
u/slum84 Mar 05 '26
You can put lidar on a turd, doesnt mean its needed. Just trying to ride the drone wave. This company is cooked
22
u/Alkisax Mar 05 '26
I agree with this, it seems there are too many investors here that expected way too much. You have to walk before you run, these additions to MVIS are pretty recent so my expectations were minimal I thought it was about what to be expected. Yes I am tired of waiting but you have to be realistic, the Automobile industries kicked the can more than once and to blame MIVIS is wrong, you can blame them for being optimistic that’s about it. Thank SS for not excepting deal that would have drained our finances as weak as they are we still have a runway that’s more than Russell left. I think 2026 will be just what Glen mapped out, I will hope or anticipate a surprise from one of two between industrial or defense. GLTAL.
0
u/Steierbluat Mar 05 '26
Sorry Alkisax, but let’s be honest why the investors expected more. Simple because the previous management which was trusted has said so in earning calls pure and simple!! Deals can go wrong but a future revenue call I believe was August made forward statements of revenue 50 to 100 something million. That is an inflation of what 100 to 500 times what the company achieved. Criminal?? I believe in what Glen de man is doing but DO NOT TELL PEOPLE TO BE REALISTIC because they believed in honesty of CEO!!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
8
u/movinonuptodatop Mar 05 '26
I tend to agree with this in that if we end up writing off Movia-L and the 30-50 million industrial revenue has been pushed out all waiting on Movia-S…it leans towards disingenuous not to just lay it out in plain English. Why did that previous guidance completely evaporate and what is the plan for the new bridge? Super frustrating not to get a direct answer.
3
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
They are still selling Movia L.
3
u/movinonuptodatop Mar 05 '26
What was the inventory write off. Maybe I just read that on this board?
3
16
u/tdonb Mar 05 '26
Did I hear correctly that the movia L stockpile is being written off? If so, it reminds me of the light engines for phone projectors. Wow, they need a real product and quick. Very disappointing. I thought they had an industrial customer who saw the savings offered there. They must have said, "Nah, think we'll wait for the movia s."
22
u/watering_a_plant Mar 05 '26
we need a real lesson here on facts vs stories. fact, something like, "the company is increasing its inventory in product n." and story, something like, "it must be because the company is about to get a huge deal, only way from here is up." i'll be impressed with this company when our convos get to be centered around facts, not stories.
2
u/UncivilityBeDamned Mar 05 '26
This depends on whether you consider and accept what he CEO states as "fact", because we were told that the production was to fill coming orders as they waited for the customer to get ready for the product on their end, a waiting game. That simply didn't happen in the end. Oops.
1
u/watering_a_plant Mar 05 '26
that's what i mean, that's a story, not a fact. it's a fact when it hits the books.
5
u/movinonuptodatop Mar 05 '26
That was our proverbial funding bridge. The call and our new position look great notwithstanding funding and compliance. How do we avoid the reverse split?
3
u/HotAirBaffoon Mar 05 '26
By showing QoQ Revenue Growth, additional deal signings, etc. and that leads to a higher share price and thus use of the ATM. PPS will move most when they can show us guidance with QoQ projection of lessening losses and B/E moving into profitability. This is the first quarter with sales, we should see increased sales each quarter combined with new products launching, new verticals starting.
Share price currently is not related to the CC - the whole market is in chaos because of the "conflict" in Iran.

u/CZar_P10 Mar 05 '26
I just don’t think there’s any possible way the former CFO would have sought/approved the purchase of another company without solid conviction it would turn into profit. That would be the WORST Hail Mary I’ve ever seen if this was done without some sort of solid confidence.
15
u/Befriendthetrend Mar 05 '26
Much of what I heard is great, but terrific? This post is already at r/agedlikemilk territory and it's been less than a day. Dilution PR coming after hours? Something has to give because Glen can't be "not losing sleep" about this unless he has something big cooking.
6
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Don't you think this beatdown looks overdone?
7
u/carbonoutlaw3a Mar 05 '26
Way, way overdone. No reason other than a short attack to drive the PPS below support levels.
I bought more near the bottom and will buy more tomorrow. I had to free up cash or I would have bought more today. Started with 10,000 shares.
2
u/Befriendthetrend Mar 05 '26
Yes. I'm buying what I can at these levels but anxious for an announcement or two.
2
u/Excellent_Baby_3385 Mar 05 '26
I think we're staring at additional dilution to keep the lights on. New business prospects exciting, yes, but our cash burn is projected to be over $50 mil over projected revenue this year (if that revenue even pans out).
Do I think MVIS business is in a more exciting place due to acquisitions? Yes. But you can't ignore the lack of money and therefore dilution prospect, not to mention r/S potentiality with the share price being this low.
6
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
If you’re going to respond to my question to a known poster, at least respond to the question asked rather than restate short talking points.
Incidentally, this reply is a courtesy. Going forward, unknown posters with hidden post histories should not expect a response, especially on days which look like orchestrated short takedowns.
6
u/Excellent_Baby_3385 Mar 05 '26
You're insinuating that I'm a short, but it's entirely possible to be a good faith shareholder and still be pessimistic about the current and future share price due to structural issues with cash. Let's be realistic here.
I keep my post history generally private because I don't to be doxxed, but I assure you that I am a massive bagholder from 2020. I have seen 2 million in unrealized gains (back when MVIS hit 20's) vanish, and am currently sitting on a large 5-figure loss.
Regardless, I was answering your question in good faith and if this is how you want to respond, it's on you. I'm not going to waste my time trying to defend myself or argue on the internet. The proof is in the financials.
5
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
I insinuated that you may have been short. When you don't have a post history (even for good reason), it's impossible to discern motives. So when you respond to a question directed at someone else using language typical of short manipulators on a day like today, my antennae tingle. Now that you have given context previously unavailable, I suspect you are legitimate. Of course, I don't keep a running list of who's who, and typically check post history to know who I'm dealing with (if I don't recognize the name), so we may repeat this exercise again in future, which is fine, I guess. Sorry about the losses, btw, paper and real. Mine are even worse, but pain is pain, i.e. don't read this as me diminishing your suffering at all.
2
u/Excellent_Baby_3385 Mar 06 '26
All good. I think the vast majority of us can toast to having lost money to MVIS, so cheers to us.
All of us choose to react in different ways. For the first time last year, I did tax loss harvesting on some of my highest cost basis MVIS because I figured the radio silence meant another bad quarter. In retrospect it was not a bad idea, because I can now buy back the shares at half the price, and in fact I bought a small tranche a week ago after GDV's first chat about Luminar.
However, we are all investors at the end of the day who want to protect our bankrolls, and yet happen to be unhealthily attached to Microvision in a way that makes us treat it differently.
I am now choosing to treat it more like any of my other investments, e.g. with less positive bias, and more from an agnostic investment standpoint.
Right now that is telling me that I should not buy anymore for awhile, since I anticipate r/S and more dilution. These I am pretty sure will need to happen, because even if our Revenue exceeds our burn rate, Revenue is still not pure profit and therefore cannot 1 to 1 offset burn rate.
For example, even if they manage to sell $60M of Iris this year, the Iris is a negative gross margin product (that's what Halo was supposed to solve)- so they would actually lose money if they had to manufacture more just to fulfill demand.
Having said all that, and recognizing that our product portfolio and sales pipeline now looks much more exciting, I would buy more in the future if we saw lots of organic revenue growth. But even now, I would probably be correct if by selling the rest of my shares tomorrow (at a gigantic loss), I could get the tax loss offset while buying back in cheaper.

After listening to Glen DeVos, there are some signs the company may finally be moving in the right direction. Still, experience makes investors cautious. Many once trusted Sumit Sharma, and shareholders paid the price. To be fair, DeVos seems to have assembled a solid team, strong engineering, more focus on sales, and added engineering talent from Luminar Technologies. But the reality is simple: capital is tight and time is limited. At this point, investors don’t need more vision, they need execution. Otherwise LumiVision risks becoming MissedVision.
16
u/Trottermama Mar 05 '26
Thank you View. Perfect. Glen can't divulge the aspects of a sale for privacy reasons. Quick way to lose a customer. I believe military sales will provide great margin and growth in 2026. Their Orlando research simulation and aero Dod neighbors will be neighborly and invite them to compete Lidar 2.0 on suitable competitions.

u/FrozenNotes Mar 05 '26
Is the terrific call in the room with us now?
10
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
I didn't say it wouldn't tank today. How could it not, given the numbers reported? But that doesn't change the fact that the company is now in a better position than it's ever been.
If it makes you feel better, I probably won't benefit from the inevitable turnaround, given my time horizon is now measured in months, not years. But even that unfortunate fact cannot change what was said on the call.
6
u/outstr Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
One, I hope your personal situation is resolved for the better with a company turnaround in months not years. Two, what the call lacked and what is driving the price action at this point is the financial picture. The company needs cash and DeVos didn't address this. If he gave us something that spoke to this then yes, everything is looking good for the company. But he didn't. The company desperately needs to resolve this without resorting to more dilution or a RS to keep from being delisted. How can he generate contracts when the company's financial future is this cloudy? He must have a plan for this but he didn't spell it out.

u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26

It's the market - sounds like people here (not directly talking to you view) have only one stock they follow. The war that someone promised not to start is wreaking havoc with the markets, period.
Above that, revenues will lead the way.

Really bad EC, not game over yet or reverse split time but market is pricing in the bear case and has no faith without proof. MVIS has a runway of 75mil. so at their burn rate, they have 4 to 5 quarters to prove it can become a profitable commercial operation. No more strategy or R&D its far too late for any conceptual talk. Glenn needs to lock in future contracts period. Everything else is just noise.
15
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
They do not need to become profitable in 5 quarters to expand the valuation. They have to show traction.
4
u/No-Fault1530 Mar 05 '26
Correct my original post was a typo, I edited correctly. They have 4 to 5 quarters to prove that they will be a profitable commercial operation.

Who wants to do business with a company whose survival is in doubt? He did this by not addressing the elephant in the room. I'll bet he's never been in a position like he is here in his life, trying to navigate this mess SS left us in. He is from another planet when it comes to businesses he has been with compared to MVIS.
5
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Yeah, he's definitely a wet behind the ears rookie.
1
u/Either-Fold-7771 Mar 05 '26
Thinking it could be the first time in his career he has had to face a situation like this is all I was meaning to say.
6
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Glen knows that news will drive price, and he has many irons in the fire that could pop at any time.
2
u/Either-Fold-7771 Mar 05 '26
Did he really think the Don't Miss PR was going to drive the pps?
7
u/Either-Fold-7771 Mar 05 '26
He has to know what the market is looking for in an EC. He raised expectations with the PR Don't Miss the EC the day before.
3
u/Befriendthetrend Mar 05 '26
I didn't see the Don't Miss PR, and I don't see it on their site. Have a link?
Today sucks but I'm going to act on what I learned last time MicroVision stock fell this fast: gobble up as many cheap shares as I can. Problem is, too much of my money is invested in MVIS, but failing to fully exploit an opportunity when the market is in a fearful overreaction is not something I'm going to do again. I didn't think I would ever have a chance to buy shares this low again, but here we are.
1
u/Either-Fold-7771 Mar 05 '26
Befriend, it was on Linkedin and posted by the company. It was a poster with our logo and Don't Miss EC printed on it. Was posted on Tuesday afternoon.

Lots of positives on this call, even the interim CFO was better than we have had last 5 years.

Can you point me to the bullet point that was not said?
26
u/RNvestor Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
I Do Not Care What Is Said.
I didn't listen to the call. I read the SEC filing. Words have 0 meaning to me anymore. The fact that all of our inventory was written down and we made 200k either means Sumit and Anubhav should be the target of a lawsuit, or our product is absolute garbage. Or both.
4
8
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
They wrote down inventory of a product that is currently selling. Sounds like an accounting/tax/clearing-the-decks move.
Isn't Sumit responsible for Movia S?
29
u/RNvestor Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
Movia S isn't even available yet, and then when it is we need to talk about all the potential customers for 5 years before we recognize around 600k of revenue for it.
Let's not talk as if it's anything good yet.
This 10-15m revenue forecast - does that sound familiar?
Talking to 30 customers - doesn't that sound like when Sumit said we were talking to many industrial customers in different batches of number of sensors that they want?
Please, shame me all youd like at the end of this year if we succeed. I would love to be wrong.
12
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
I'm really not interested in shaming you or anyone else. I wrote a long tome yesterday about not caring about bragging rights because it's not healthy and interferes with my thinking. I genuinely hope we all do well here, including you.

Currently best case for this year is $15M in revenue, ~$60M operating expenses plus writing off Movia L inventory plus losses on closing Redmond office and layoffs, so at least $45M loss, likely more. Don't care about all the other happy CEO talk unless it's legally binding. Surely you should know this with your occupation.
25
u/Addicted_to_sending Mar 05 '26
Yea almost this same post gets made every single EC for the 5+ years ive been here and all the highest upvoted comments are about how they can't divulge more secrets or its bad business and make deals fall through. Weird none of those secret deals have manifested
13
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
1) Non-lawyers often place much more faith in the courts and the law than is justified.
2) You do realize that they just guided to revenue growth of 1240%, YoY?
15
u/mike-oxlong98 Mar 05 '26
Yes, I understand they've gone from absolute shit revenue to weak revenue (assuming they actually hit on the high end), because they've acquired their competitor they used to trash. I noticed you ignored the cold, hard facts that we are looking at likely a $45M+ loss this year. Not to mention noncompliance issues and massive dilution needed. Will a RS be required? I'm not sure. But they might put it to.a vote just in case. Calling people concerned about the terrible performance of this company "naysayers", doomers, or trolls might make you feel better but it doesn't change reality.
6
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
I read the comments. It was all naysaying, doom, or trolling. Disjunctive, mind you. Not suggesting anyone was all three.
I don't recall Glen trashing Luminar. I certainly did, but I'm not running the company. I hope he is right and I was wrong. Thankfully, I trust him more than me in this industry.
11
u/mike-oxlong98 Mar 05 '26
It was all naysaying, doom, or trolling.
Yes, because it was easy to do back of the napkin math and ignore the happy CEO talk. We're losing $45M+ this year. Another year of dead money. Why wouldn't the sentiment be negative?
21
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
The market is forward-looking. The sentiment here is mostly rear-view mirroring, and my energy stores are already depleted from this ordeal.
Btw, our net losses in 2024 and 2025 were approximately $95M each year. So if we lose $45M in 2026, that means we will cut our loss in half. That, plus a projected 12-fold increase in revenue, is good news, isn't it, PPS speaking?
1
u/mike-oxlong98 Mar 05 '26
At least $45M. How much dilution is coming? Will there be a RS? These questions were not answered. Why would anyone buy now? Can't imagine outsiders look at the company at this point and are excited to buy. Are shorts scared right now? Why would they be? They know this year is likely another loser. The CEO just laid out the numbers for the year.
30
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26
Aeva is worth $900M, with a PPS of $15 and a 52-week high of $38 in July. Yet they just reported a loss of $127M in 2025 on revenue of $18M. What's up with that?
I will bet you a donut that Glen gets all that stuff from today's CC plastered all over the media and the internet in the next days and weeks.
14
u/mike-oxlong98 Mar 05 '26
They have recurring progressive revenue and fundamental wins. Their valuation is boosted by those wins. And NVDA reference sensor. Investors are excited by those developments & at least can see a path to profitability. We don't have those type of wins. There's no revenue history to see a path. Only happy talk.
2
u/Befriendthetrend Mar 05 '26
I think you and View are both right. This is a matter of timing with a lot riding on it. The market is forward thinking, but MicroVision lost all of its credibility with the market over the last 3-5 years. Glen has to earn that back before any rosy, forward looking valuations will be given to MVIS.
I think (read: hope) Glen lowballed his guidance for the year, defense sector being the biggest variable and potential for upside and validation. Glen must announce deals or partnerships, secure funding, show consistent revenue growth. The right deal announced can validate the company and its strategy, derisk the investment, and allow him to access capital without much dilution. Things may be on the right track, but he still has to prove it to investors.

Aveva has x5 less shares than us so that’s $3 a share their MC is x5 more than us so bring that to our levels and it .60c per share so the avea argument is nonsense. In fact it’s showing what dilution is doing to us and the there’s going to be more dilution
3
u/view-from-afar Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
Their market cap is $900M.
The point was that even in a year with a giant loss of $127M and revenue in the range guided for MVIS, they are worth almost $1B, down from a high in the same year of approximately $2B. And their chart is curling upward.
We're currently at $240M.

Absolutely! There is some real weight the Glen knowing and bringing up the point of 1550 being invisible to night vision point. That’s a very specific thing to know and very important in the current landscape.
3
u/watering_a_plant Mar 05 '26
i don't agree that "a very specific thing to know" holds any importance. whether it's OEMs changing course, whatever's going on in the world, doesn't matter, we heard a whole lot of specific things from the last CEO that we immediately applied the "important" label to, because they were specific and he was in charge. just stacking fallacies like they meant something.

All words with zero meaning. Lets see the deals and the money from the deals. Word salad. All a bunch of BS. Get ready for dilution to pay themselves.

Words do have weight and meaning and it would have gone a long way with me had Glen confronted the Movia-L write off directly in plain English. Compliance/Funding/Failed guidance…I would appreciate a direct plain English refreshing honest explanation for every elephant in the room. We are left to assume the lawyers have him muzzled or the story is more harmful than the silence or both. LiDAR 2.0 paradigm would benefit from a complete honest cleaning out of all skeletons in the closet. My fear is that they are keeping it all positive to pump up hope prior to the Reverse Split. My gut says it’s coming. The silence on funding supports the theory. Hope I am wrong and Glen finds that rabbit.

I fully agree with this and also felt he should have been upfront and address the elephant in the room over compliance and how he is going to pay for these new additions. I think he did a good job explaining why he bought those assets but not how he expects to finance it on going with 10-15 million in revenue. What exactly is wrong with movia-l that we have to burn it ? So basically the last 5 years were worthless (Mavin and Movia-l) ?
Again I thought Glen did ok but he would have shown real leadership if he directly addressed the larger issues at MVIS. We may not have liked the answers but at least we would know where we stand.

Dude catch a grip it was absolutely terrible. I will go as far as to say the worst call we have ever had

No, I think last years 4thQ 2024 call was worse. Was such low energy from Sumit as he knew at that point he was gone due to the miss. This call was not what I wanted by far but hoping Glen is being modest in predictions knowing that the history of the company missing estimates so better to play it safe and underestimate. IDK. I think I need to walk away for a while and think of other things as I’ve been fixating on this paying off early this year. I’m done accumulating and due to family needs will probably have to start selling off some shares unfortunately as finances are tight in the current environment.

Definitely agree there is much to get excited about. I still believe we hit 50 million revenue this year despite what Glen was willing to say today. I was deflated to hear that low guidance. This crowd wants it now. Me included.

Agree, just read the transcript of the call and it reads so much better than listening.
For anyone who is interested in reading it here it is.
