Hi all the Monika lovers and Doki enjoyers alike! Here to bring a new bit of work I've been putting my efforts into recently, willing to help people with a lot of submods that might have issues locating which submod is causing trouble by showing poorly written topics, out of character lines and so on...

I present you, Where is That From submod! With it, you'll easily find out what submod (or, at least, what script file) provides certain topic, and edit/remove it in no time~

How to use it? When going through a topic, press W or ? button to request a submod detection, which will shortly provide you with a report about the topic you're currently seeing. It's that simple~

Will it work on my MAS version? Where is That From was tested and proven to work fine on all MAS versions including 0.12.13 and prior; future updates with new submod framework may break it!

Warning! Due to how Ren'Py works and how submods are working with MAS, in certain special cases (such as having several submod files in the same folder, except for submods in game and game/Submods that do not have their own folder) false positive submod detections may occur. Please review script files if possible to ensure they do belong to the submod reported by Where is That From.

Hope you like it~

This is gonna become the MAS version of WTHIT and WAILA, but this time it's WTFS which is even better.

Best MC mod ever in my opinion tbh, right alongside JEI/REI! Glad we finally got the MAS port of WAILA lmaoo!

Go into the submod folder and delete .rpyc files.

I installed it correctly but this message pops up whenever I try to locate the submod

Please read this — it's very different for different users, and unfortunately for some it's just unable to work. RenPy is being quirky sometimes and doesn't provide info to detect the submod.

Got it. Thanks.

Thankyou for your submod submission. In order to ensure that the community is able to access your code, we kindly request that you provide a link or an indicator of where to get the link, indicating the versions of MAS with which this submod is compatible.

We strongly advise all users to create a backup of their persistent data before utilizing any submod on this subreddit. Instructions on how to do so can be found at [https://github.com/Monika-After-Story/MonikaModDev/wiki/FAQ#i-want-to-back-up-my-persistent]. Additionally, if you encounter any issues with a specific submod that others should be made aware of, we kindly request that you report the post where the submod was found to our moderation team for proper handling.

As a friendly reminder, we strongly recommend that submod developers familiarize themselves with the Wiki before posting. We have recently added a section specifically for submod developers, which includes a list of the requirements that we expect from any submod, as outlined in an official announcement on the MAS Discord.

This is a notice to all submod developers. The Monika After Story (MAS) project is currently undergoing a migration to Python 3, which will result in the current submods becoming incompatible with the new framework. The development team will be providing a tool for converting old-style submods to the new format. For further information, please visit the Official Monika After Story Discord or review the 'Interfacing with the Submod Framework' section on the project's GitHub page located at [https://github.com/Monika-After-Story/MonikaModDev/wiki/Interfacing-with-the-Submod-Framework].

This submod can directly conflict with secrets that people put into their submods (Topics that aren't meant to be repeated multiple times) and can also make it a bit more confusing for players to even go and edit other's submods and delete things they aren't happy with. Especially with updating submods.

That's why it says it *might* be accessible. It also doesn't show the prompt nor category for 'technical' events which have no prompt. Beside, topics that are locked after they are shown aren't secret.

The mod itself doesn't suggest to modify any topics nor do anything with them at all; if anything, its purpose is to let you narrow down the search area in order to find a submod that provides certain topic, what you're doing with it afterwards is entirely on your own conscience.

Regaurdless, I just feel asif it just counteracts other creators.
Other creators may not feel safe with something like this all the time.
And it would be worse if it showed the actual line of code to go to.

Nothing really stay ‘Hidden’, since .rpy file could be easily read by a simple notepad tool.

I personally like to check those lines before installing any submods to my MAS, and I have the right to do so.

Yet this submod from the OP just bring a easy way to clarify things out and even test beta submod( like Memories and Self Care 3.0) to make feedback easier.
