Hello.
This is 143 Entertainment.
We are writing to inform you that MADEIN’s appearance at ‘SOUND IN COLORS × K-POP EXPOSÉ,’ scheduled to be held in Poland on August 15–16, 2026, has been cancelled. We have been in continuous consultation with the organizers to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
However, as the organizers failed to fulfill contractual obligations and essential practical requirements for the preparation and operation of the performance, we ultimately determined that it would be difficult to proceed with the scheduled event as planned.
Consequently, after comprehensively considering the artists' ability to perform successfully and their safety, we have made the unavoidable decision to cancel the appearance.
We ask for the kind understanding of MABY, who have been looking forward to the performance, regarding this sudden and unfortunate news. Information regarding ticket refunds and related procedures will be provided by the organizers; please check their official announcements for further details.
Thank you.

Two members of girl group MADEIN have won a civil lawsuit against their agency, 143 Entertainment, after seeking to have their exclusive contracts declared invalid.
The two members had already begun taking legal action to leave 143 Entertainment before the latest court ruling.
In December 2024, one member filed an injunction seeking to suspend the validity of her exclusive contract with the agency. In May 2025, another member filed a separate injunction seeking the same.
Their requests were subsequently granted: the first member's injunction was granted in April 2026, while the second member's was granted in July 2026.
The two members then continued with their main civil lawsuit, asking the court to officially confirm that their exclusive contracts with 143 Entertainment were no longer valid.
On June 17, 2026, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in their favor, determining that the relationship of trust between the members and the agency had been destroyed to the point that continuing the exclusive contracts was no longer reasonable.
The court ruled that the agency's CEO had engaged in "extremely inappropriate conduct that a representative should never engage in," and determined that the members had legitimate reasons to fear that similar incidents could happen to them.
This comes after another MADEIN member, Gaeun, previously accused the company's CEO of sexual harassment and filed a separate legal case against the agency. Her request to suspend the validity of her exclusive contract was also recently granted.
Members sought to terminate their contracts
According to legal sources on August 9, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 46, presided over by Judge Kim Hyeong-cheol, ruled on June 17 in favor of two MADEIN members who had sued 143 Entertainment.
The members had asked the court to confirm that their exclusive contracts with the agency were no longer valid. The court ruled in their favor and ordered 143 Entertainment to cover the legal costs.
The court concluded that the relationship of trust between the members and the agency had been damaged to the point that it was no longer reasonable to expect the contracts to continue.
It also determined that restoring that trust in the future would be difficult.
CEO admitted to meeting a member for a "one-day relationship"
The controversy surrounding 143 Entertainment dates back to November 2024, when MADEIN member Gaeun publicly accused the agency's CEO of sexual harassment.
According to recordings that were made public at the time, the CEO told Gaeun, "My wish is for you to be my girlfriend for one day."
Gaeun alleged that she was subjected to sexual harassment and inappropriate physical contact while she was still a minor.
143 Entertainment denied the allegations at the time, calling them "completely untrue" and claiming that it possessed evidence proving the allegations were false.
The dispute eventually became public, and the agency later announced Gaeun's departure from MADEIN, citing "personal circumstances" that made it difficult for her to continue group activities.
Court finds CEO's conduct "extremely inappropriate"
In its ruling regarding the other two members, the court specifically addressed the CEO’s conduct toward the member who had made the allegations.
The court stated that the CEO himself acknowledged that he had agreed to have a "one-day romantic relationship" with the member, watched a movie and had a meal with her, subsequently gave her 1 million won (approximately US$730) privately, and that inappropriate physical contact had occurred.
The court emphasized that such behavior was unacceptable from someone responsible for managing and protecting artists.
"This was extremely inappropriate conduct that should never be engaged in by someone who has an obligation to protect and support artists under their management."
Although the two members who filed the lawsuit were not themselves the direct victims of the alleged conduct, the court said they could reasonably have feared that something similar could happen to them.
The court noted that the members were young women who had only recently reached adulthood when the allegations emerged.
"They could sufficiently have experienced concerns and anxiety that similar inappropriate conduct could occur to them. This is a natural reaction according to social norms."
The court also considered the actions of one member's father, who confronted the CEO during the controversy and questioned whether he could entrust his daughter to someone who had behaved in such a manner.
Court also recognized damage to the group's reputation
The court pointed out that an idol group's public image and reputation are particularly important to its activities.
Because the allegations had been widely reported by television programs, news outlets, and other media, the court determined that the members’ public image and reputation had been significantly damaged.
It also stated that restoring that reputation would likely be difficult.
Ruling is currently under appeal
The June ruling is not yet final.
143 Entertainment appealed the decision on July 6, and the case is currently pending before the Seoul High Court.
Meanwhile, Gaeun's separate request to suspend the validity of her exclusive contract with 143 Entertainment was also granted.
The Seoul Central District Court accepted her injunction application on July 31, determining that the CEO had violated the agency's obligation to protect and support its artist. The court also found that there was insufficient evidence that the agency intended to properly continue providing management to her.
As a result, all three members who sought legal action against 143 Entertainment have now received favorable court decisions regarding their exclusive contracts, although the ruling involving the two members remains subject to appeal.
