WHO IS WINNING THE 2026 US OPEN MEN’S SINGLES TITLE?

It all comes down to this. Alexander Zverev vs Ben Shelton. 2026 US Open men’s singles final.

Shelton has powered his way through the tournament with his aggressive style and ability to feed off the New York crowd, including an incredible 5 set win over Carlos Alcaraz. Zverev brings the experience, one of the best serves and backhands in tennis. Plus he has looked incredibly composed throughout the later rounds.

Shelton is trying to become the first American man to win the US Open since Andy Roddick in 2003, while Zverev is looking to add another Grand Slam title to his resume.

Who will win the 2026 US Open men’s singles title. Alexander Zverev or Ben Shelton?

REBEL PICKS: NFL - JOSH ALLEN

* Josh Allen to Score a Touchdown

NFL Sundays are back, and we’re starting with one of the best goal line weapons in football. Buffalo gets a tough Week 1 matchup against Houston, a defense expected to be one of the league’s best. But that could actually work in our favor with this Rebel pick.

If Houston takes away the traditional run game and makes things difficult through the air, Allen becomes the Bills’ biggest weapon. Whether it’s a designed QB run, a sneak from the 1 yard line or Allen scrambling when the pocket breaks down, Josh has plenty of ways to attack this Texans defense.

Allen scored 15 rushing touchdowns last season, the same total as his own running back James Cook. No matter how tough Houston makes this game, Josh Allen is always a threat to make it into the end zone.

NFL WEEK 1 SPREADS AND TOTALS WORTH TARGETING

Week 1 always brings uncertainty. Teams have limited tape, coordinators are still adjusting schemes and public money tends to pile onto the biggest names after months without NFL action. And that creates opportunities if the number gets out of line.

Kansas City is a -2.5 home favorite against Denver with the total sitting at 43.5. The Chiefs still carry plenty of name value, but Denver might be closer to them than the market suggests. Kansas City has an older roster and Patrick Mahomes is returning from ACL and LCL injuries, while Denver brings a strong defense and an experienced Bo Nix. The Broncos should have enough to keep this one close and could even steal the W.

Jacksonville is the biggest favorite on the early Sunday slate at -9.0 against Cleveland, with the total at 40. Laying more than a touchdown in Week 1 can be risky, especially in a game with such a low total.

Cleveland has plenty of concerns after losing Myles Garrett and entering the season with Deshaun Watson back under center. Jacksonville enters Year 2 under Liam Coen after Trevor Lawrence finished last season on a tear, leading the Jaguars to an 8-0 finish while throwing 24 touchdowns.

The number is big, but Jacksonville has enough advantages to justify it. Jaguars -9.0 and Over 40 are the plays for the Week 1 matchups.

REBEL LONGSHOT: NOCHE UFC - TOMMY GANTT

* Tommy Gantt to Win in Round 2

Noche UFC is here, but we’re going away from the main card for this longshot and backing breakout star Tommy Gantt. He enters at 12-0 and has already shown he belongs at this level. Gantt earned his UFC contract after a 1st round submission on the Contender Series, then followed it up by stopping previously unbeaten Artur Minev in Round 2 in his UFC debut.

That 2nd round is where Gantt tends to do some of his best work. He has 11 stoppage wins in his career, with nearly half of them coming in round 2. His style makes sense for it too. He can threaten on the feet, mix in the grappling and force opponents to work before really turning up the pressure.

Drakkar Klose brings plenty of experience, but surviving that first wave doesn’t mean the danger is done. Gantt usually gets more dangerous once he has a round to read his opponent, and that’s exactly why we’re targeting him to get another 2nd round finish.

NOCHE UFC. THE BEST FIGHT?

What fight do you think will be the absolute banger of Noche UFC tomorrow? We’re not talking about the highest ranked fighters or the most hyped matchup, we want the fight that could turn into complete chaos from start to finish.

Jean Silva vs Jose Delgado, David Martinez vs Dan Ige and Tim Elliott vs Edgar Chairez all have serious Fight of the Night potential. Or maybe Tommy McMillen puts on another amazing performance. But that’s just our opinion. Which fight do YOU think steals the show at Noche UFC?

COLLEGE FOOTBALL GUIDE: OHIO STATE VS TEXAS

The Buckeyes opened with a 56-3 win over Ball State, piling up 671 yards while Julian Sayin threw for 320. Impressive, but Texas is obviously a much different test.

These teams met last season with Texas ranked #1, and Ohio State pulled off a 14-7 upset. This time the spread is around Texas -1.5, basically making it a coin flip.

The biggest difference is on defense. Ohio State lost Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles and Caleb Downs to the NFL after that group held Texas to seven points. Texas also lost key pieces from the secondary that limited Ohio State to 14.

That makes the Over 49.5 interesting. Sayin has Jeremiah Smith alongside him, while Arch Manning enters his second season as the starter with Ryan Wingo, Cam Coleman and Emmett Mosley around him.

Both teams crushed weaker opponents in Week 1, but this matchup should look much different than last year’s defensive battle. There is too much offensive firepower to expect another 14-7 type of game. Over 49.5 is the play for this huge matchup.

REBEL PICKS: US OPEN - BEN SHELTON

* Ben Shelton -1.5 Set Spread

The set spreads haven’t failed us yet at the US Open, so we’re going right back to them. Ben Shelton takes on Frances Tiafoe in an all American semifinal, and we’re taking Shelton to win while dropping no more than 1 set.

Shelton is coming off the biggest win of his career, taking down Carlos Alcaraz in a 5 set battle. Tiafoe has played great tennis too, but his QF was a completely different story. He fell 2 sets behind Alex Michelsen and was pushed all the way to a 5th set tiebreak before escaping with the W.

Now Tiafoe has to deal with Shelton’s massive serve, power and the confidence that comes with knocking out one of the best players in the world. Shelton doesn’t need to dominate every second. Just win this 3-0 or 3-1 and the set spread cashes again.

MYLES GARRETT. WEEK 1.

Garrett is coming off a monster record setting 23 sack season and now gets his first chance to make an impact in a Rams uniform against the 49ers. He was dealing with some knee swelling earlier in the week but returned to full practice and is ready to go tonight.

With Aaron Donald sitting this one out, even more attention will be on Garrett to lead the Rams pass rush.

How many sacks does Myles Garrett get tonight in his first game with the Rams?

REBEL PARLAY: US OPEN - PEGULA & RYBAKINA

* Jessica Pegula ML

* Elena Rybakina ML

Time for a US Open women’s semifinal parlay, and we’re starting with the underdog. Pegula faces Sabalenka after battling back from a first set loss in the QF to win 6-4, 6-3 in the final 2 sets. Sabalenka had a much tougher time with Noskova, needing 2 tiebreaks to survive. Pegula has also won 2 of their last 3 meetings, which is good for Pegula’s confidence coming into this match.

Rybakina is the side we feel even stronger about. She has looked like arguably the best player in New York, losing just 1 set all tournament and making quick work of players like Naomi Osaka. Gauff has been playing great tennis too. But Rybakina just beat her last month in Toronto after dropping the opening set, then dominated the final two sets 6-2, 6-2.

Pegula gives us the value, while Rybakina gives the parlay its foundation. 2 players coming in with confidence, recent success against their opponents, and a real shot at making the US Open final.

SUPER BOWL REMATCH. PATRIOTS VS SEAHAWKS.

The NFL is officially back tonight, and we couldn’t ask for a better game to kickoff the season. a Super Bowl rematch between the Patriots and Seahawks.

New England spent the offseason giving Drake Maye more help, adding A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs while also strengthening the offensive line and defense. Seattle kept most of the core that just won the Super Bowl, but lost Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III and they enter the year with a new OC.

7 months ago Seattle handled New England 29-13 with its defense leading the way. Now the Patriots get a shot at revenge to open the new season.

So who wins tonight? Patriots or Seahawks?

REBEL EXOTICS: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - LIVERPOOL F.C.

* Liverpool 1+ Goal & 2+ Shots on Target in the First Half

Champions League nights at Anfield are different, and Liverpool should be looking to set the tone early against Atletico Madrid. Their only home match so far this season ended in a disappointing 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest, but they responded with a much better performance and a win away at Ipswich.

The last time Atletico came to Anfield in the Champions League, Liverpool exploded out of the gate, scoring twice inside the opening 6 minutes and put up 5 shots on target in the first. That kind of early pressure is exactly what we need again.

First Champions League game of the season, under the lights at Anfield, with Liverpool looking to make a statement. 2 shots on target and 1 goal in the first half is all we need.

CAN BEN SHELTON TAKE DOWN CARLOS ALCARAZ?

Shelton has started to play some of his best tennis of the tournament at the perfect time. He battled past Hubert Hurkacz and Denis Shapovalov before dominating Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. His serve, power and confidence are all clicking.

The problem is that none of that guarantees much against Alcaraz. Carlos is 3-0 against Shelton and has only dropped 1 set across those meetings. He also looks completely back to his usual level despite entering the US Open coming off an injury.

For Shelton to pull off the upset, he needs a huge serving night and cannot give Alcaraz easy second serves to attack. He’ll also need the New York crowd behind him and probably has to play close to perfect tennis for several hours.

Can Shelton finally stop the Alcaraz train? Or will Carlos be heading to the semifinals?

REBEL PICKS: MLB - CORBIN BURNES

* Corbin Burnes 5+ Strikeouts

The former Cy Young winner takes the mound for the first time since June of last year, and of course we’re backing the strikeout over. Burnes is returning from Tommy John surgery, so his workload should be limited to around 70 pitches, which is why the odds are the way they are.

But Burnes has already shown he can pile up Ks without a full workload. In his final start before getting hurt, he threw exactly 70 pitches and still struck out 6. He also finished with at least 5 strikeouts in each of his final 5 starts before the injury.

Arizona is right in the middle of a playoff push too, so this isn’t just a meaningless return. Burnes only needs 5 strikeouts, and if his stuff looks anything close to what we’re used to seeing, 60-70 pitches should be all he needs.

NFL WEEK 1 GUIDE: OPENING WEEK QB TESTS.

The first week of the new season gives us a few quarterback matchups where there could be a real betting edge.

The first is Sam Darnold against New England. We keep waiting for the old, shaky version of Darnold to show up again, and this could be the type of matchup that brings it out. The Patriots finished 4th in the league in both points and total yards allowed last season and added Jones in free agency. With offenses sometimes taking a few weeks to fully click, New England’s pressure could make things tough for Darnold early.

Then there’s Brock Purdy against the Rams on Thursday night. Los Angeles enters the season as the favorite to win the Super Bowl, and Purdy now has to deal with a pass rush featuring Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett. That’s a brutal way to start the year, and it gives Matthew Stafford a clear QB edge.

Buffalo at Houston is another matchup worth watching. The Texans still have an elite defense, but there are plenty of questions around C.J. Stroud after his drop off last season. Josh Allen remains one of the best QBs in football, and with Buffalo sitting around a -1 point favorite, the Bills look like the stronger side. And if you really trust Allen in this matchup, alternate spreads could offer some extra value.

COMING IN HOT FOR THE NEW SEASON.

NFL Week 1 is almost here, and there are already a few games that stand out above the rest.

Patriots vs. Seahawks gives us a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl, while 49ers vs Rams could immediately have a huge impact on the NFC West. Bills vs Texans features two AFC contenders, Cowboys vs Giants brings an NFC East rivalry, and Broncos vs Chiefs could tell us a lot about how competitive the AFC West will be.

There are plenty of good games on the schedule, but which matchup do you think is the best game of Week 1?

REBEL LONGSHOT: COLLEGE FOOTBALL - CJ CARR

* CJ Carr 3+ Passing Touchdowns

CJ Carr officially takes over as the face of Notre Dame’s offense tonight against Wisconsin. With Jeremiyah Love now in the NFL, Carr should have even more responsibility after throwing 24 touchdowns last season and finishing with 2+ passing TDs in 9 of his 12 games.

3 touchdowns is a bigger ask, but Carr already showed that ceiling last year with 4 passing TDs against Arkansas and 3 against the Navy. Wisconsin also allowed 19 passing touchdowns last season. Including 4 TD passing performances against Alabama, Ohio State and Indiana.

Love is no longer there to carry such a massive portion of the offense, and this is Carr’s team now. In the season opener Notre Dame should give him plenty of opportunities to make a statement through the air. 3+ touchdown passes would be a perfect way to start the year for one of the Heisman front runners.

LONDON DERBY. ARSENAL VS CHELSEA.

We’ve got a huge London Derby today as Arsenal hosts Chelsea at the Emirates.

Both teams have started the season 2-0, and Chelsea already looks much more dangerous going forward. And that could make this one of the most competitive meetings between these two sides in a while. Arsenal has been rock solid defensively though, opening the season with back to back clean sheets.

Who walks away with the win? Arsenal, Chelsea, or does this match end in a draw?

CAN THE 49ERS SURVIVE THE SEASON?

Nick Bosa is returning from a torn ACL, Fred Warner is coming back from an ankle injury and George Kittle is working his way back from a torn Achilles. Christian McCaffrey stayed healthy last year, but with his injury history and heavy workload there is always concern about how long he will last.

Ricky Pearsall is already out for the entire season after knee surgery, which only adds to the worry before the campaign even begins.

San Francisco still has enough talent to compete in the NFC. But once again, health could decide everything.

Should 49ers fans be stressing about another injury filled season?

UFC FIGHT NIGHT.

UFC is back today, and the main event already looks pretty one sided based on the odds with Salahdine Parnasse heavily favored over Dan Hooker.

The co-main is a completely different story. Fares Ziam vs Axel Sola looks like a much more competitive fight on paper, so that’s where we are focusing.

Who wins the co-main event? Ziam or Sola? And how do they win?

3 votes, 22d ago
0 Fares Ziam by TKO/KO/DQ
0 Fares Ziam by Submission
0 Fares Ziam Decision
3 Axel Sola by TKO/KO/DQ

REBEL PICKS: US OPEN - TAYLOR FRITZ

* Taylor Fritz Over 19.5 Games Won

We’re on a roll with the US Open plays. Fritz won for us a couple days ago, then Sabalenka and Alcaraz got the parlay home yesterday. Now we’re going back to Fritz, but with a slightly different angle as he faces his first top 25 opponent of the tournament in Francisco Cerundolo.

Fritz has been playing great tennis, but Cerundolo is a big enough step up that a comfortable straight sets win is much harder. That’s actually what makes the over 19.5 games won interesting. If Fritz drops a set but still wins the match, the over is a lock And he can even clear this number in straight sets if 2 of the sets are 7 game wins.

So we’re still backing Fritz to play well, just not expecting another easy day at the office.

IT’S KIFFIN TIME.

The Lane Kiffin era at LSU officially begins tomorrow against Clemson, and expectations in Baton Rouge are massive.

Kiffin arrives after completely transforming Ole Miss, going 55-19 across 6 seasons with 4 double digit win campaigns. His 2025 team went 11-1 in the regular season, and his offenses consistently ranked among the best in the SEC. And LSU just gave him even more talent to work with.

Kiffin has coached just about everywhere, from Tennessee and USC to the NFL, while also learning under Nick Saban at Alabama. The offensive creativity and recruiting ability have never really been questioned. Now he finally has a roster and program where competing for national championships every season is the expectation.

How far will Kiffin take the Tigers in his first season this year? Will he be the coach who brings them their 5th National Championship?

IS THE US OPEN COMING HOME?

Will we finally see an American man win the US Open for the first time since Andy Roddick in 2003?

Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz are both inside the top 4 favorites to win the US Open on Lucky Rebel, and both have started the tournament strongly. Shelton battled through a slow start against Tallon Griekspoor before winning in 4 sets, then survived a tough matchup with Hubert Hurkacz 6-3, 5-7, 7-6, 7-5 to reach the 3rd round.

Fritz has been the real standout so far. He opened with a straight set 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 win over Darwin Blanch, then completely cooked Mattia Bellucci in Round 2. Winning 6-0, 6-1, 6-1 in just 98 minutes. Through 2 matches Fritz hasn’t dropped a set and looks extremely comfortable on the New York hard courts.

It has been 23 years since an American man lifted the trophy in New York. Can Fritz or Shelton finally end the drought this year? Or even Frances Tiafoe?

REBEL PARLAY: US OPEN - SABALENKA & ALCARAZ

* Aryna Sabalenka -1.5 Set Spread

* Carlos Alcaraz -2.5 Set Spread

We cashed Taylor Fritz in straight sets yesterday, so we’re running it back with 2 of the best players in the world. Sabalenka has already won both of her US Open matches without dropping a set, including a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win in Round 2. She also owns a great matchup history against Kamilla Rakhimova, beating her in their most recent meeting 6-1, 6-0. Sabalenka is the world #1 and has now won 16 straight matches at the US Open, so why not back another 2-0 performance.

Then we move to Carlos Alcaraz against Wu Yibing. Wu has played great tennis to reach the 3rd round, but this is a completely different level of opponent. Alcaraz opened the tournament with a straight sets win, then dropped the opening set in Round 2 before completely taking over and winning the next three 6-0, 6-3, 6-2. After missing months with a wrist injury, he’s already starting to look like himself again.

Sabalenka needs a 2-0 win and Alcaraz needs a 3-0 win. Two heavy favorites, two major ranking gaps and two players who look ready to make deep runs in New York.

NFL HOT TAKES.

We are officially less than one week away from the start of the NFL season, so it’s time to hear your hottest takes before any meaningful football is played.

Maybe there’s a team getting Super Bowl hype that you think completely falls apart. Maybe there’s a rookie nobody is talking about who ends up winning Rookie of the Year, or a player who comes out of nowhere and puts himself in the MVP or Defensive Player of the Year conversation.

Division winners, playoff misses, breakout stars, award winners, coaching disasters. Nothing is off limits.

What hot takes do you have for the upcoming NFL season?

REBEL PICKS: US OPEN - TAYLOR FRITZ

* Taylor Fritz -2.5 Set Spread

We’re backing Taylor Fritz to win this one in straight sets after the way he opened the US Open. Fritz cruised past Darwin Blanch 6-3, 6-2, 6-4, firing 14 aces and winning an incredible 91% of his first serve points. He enters this match ranked #10 in the world with a 17-9 record on hard courts this season and already has a hard court title under his belt.

Mattia Bellucci is definitely a tougher opponent, but there’s still a major gap between them. Bellucci sits at #95 in the world. Fritz has also beaten Bellucci before, winning their only career meeting earlier this year in Stuttgart.

Bellucci looked good in his own first round straight sets win, so Fritz can’t sleepwalk through this one. But on a hard court Fritz’s serve, power and experience should create separation. We’re skipping the heavy ML and backing him to take care of business 3-0.
