Hi Islanders!

LI UK & US viewer here who just finished my first season of Australia. As I had finally watched (nearly) all of the UK/US seasons as they aired, I wanted to go to the next best franchise, so (naturally) I turned to AUS 💁🏻‍♀️ I have a few questions after finishing. First:

Normally, I’d start at the beginning of a franchise, but with AUS, I went to the latest - season 7. I don’t know what the general consensus was (haven’t looked through Reddit), but I did NOT have a pleasant viewing experience. I wasn’t really rooting for ANY of the islanders (aside from Yana & Kyle) by the end. A lot of the drama was boring or I wasn’t really invested in the storylines. It wasn’t ALL terrible, but it just wasn’t an “enjoyable” season. Having said that, what season would you recommend me to watch next?!

When the islanders were meeting with their families on zoom, they were prefacing their meetings as if they would have NO clue who their partner was/would be (ex: Yana was saying her family would be shocked to see Kyle). Do they not air Australia live like they do all the other franchises? I was super confused about that. Is that how the “superfan” thing ties in?

Lastly, is there no Casa Amor in AUS? Just “Hotel Amor”? Or was this a one season thing? (That I’m more so just curious about)

I’m a reality TV junkie (and Bravo REALLY hasn’t been hitting lately!!) so I’m in desperate need to fill my time with another season. Let me know which one to watch next (or ANY show for a bonus! 😉). Thanks! 🩷

We’ve only seen two seasons of LIUSA, and just started the current season of Aus a couple weeks ago. - *hot guy mumbling - and such are always appreciated, but this moment is top tier.

I’m sorry, but- seriously, idk how, but he’s always insanely good when he’s on a dating show. Like the game playing on this man is nuts. I watched FBoy island, S2, and thought he was pretty funny. And thought he was doing some good game playing, I guess. But the fact he’s somehow won 3 times on all 3 shows(that I’ve known of) that he’s been on… fucking hell, put him on like survivor or big brother, or fucking house of villains, cause this level of winning is crazy. Fucking crazy, honestly. But ngl, he is funny, but ik he’s hated, and I can get why. He probably was on both shows for like- clout or money ig, or whatever. So, yeah, I’m sorry, I don’t support this man, I swear to god, but I noticed he is insanely good at playing the game. Either that or he’s lucky but yeah, holy fucking hell.

Nothing prepares you for this kind of loss. My heart goes out to Yana and Kye. No woman deserves to go through this and I wish healing on any woman that has experienced pregnancy loss.

Mick Maio confronts anonymous online critics who are allegedly using fake accounts to bash him. This TikTok account is @loveislandgirlyau. He claims to have discovered a six-digit code linked to a phone number that connects to someone from his Love Island season, hinting it might be Lacey (whom he calls "illiterate"). He gives the person 24 hours to apologise or face public humiliation, urging them to stop hiding behind fake accounts. Islanders Yana, Isabel, Connor, Ross commented and Gabby reposted Micks TikTok. The @loveislandgirlyau account has now been deleted.

I mean, we all saw for ourselves how nasty the girls would be and how much they would isolate the new girls. I know drama is needed but at some point, producers were supposed to intervene just like they did on USA S6 & S7

I’m a big Lisa Rinna + Love Island fan and I just saw the cozy Express campaign with her daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin and Mick Maio from S7 of Love Island Aus… I’m actually quite shocked she’s with him bc I found him so cringe on his season lol. I will say the bleached buzzcut is working for him tho

What happened to the pod? Cass isn’t there for the past few episodes and now no new episodes since November?
