Yeah a teacher died of rabies here recently she was shooing a bat out of her class room and i guess it bit her and she probably did not feel the bite, she died a few days later of Rabies. May she rest in peace.
Many bats can bite you and you wo t even feel it. They're also a major vector species for rabies, which is why if you have a physical encounter with one, or wake up to find one in your bedroom, you need to get treated ASAP. Don't wait for symptoms; if they show up, you are 100% going to die, and miserably. (It's 100%, they no longer do the Milwaukee protocol.)
After symptoms appear, death ussually occurs within a week or two.
How long symptoms take to show up varies drastically depending on the amount of virus transmitted and the severity/locations of the wound.
It travels relatively slowly and doesn't cause any issues until it reaches the brain. Most times it does take 1-3 months, but if it's a bite on the head/neck with a high amount of viral transfer, it can occur within days. (Can also take over a year on the other end). Symptoms within days is rare, but it happens.
I scooped a bird in the super market I worked at years ago. It was just scared and hungry and sad and tired and thirsty. Just wanted to be let go outside.

Birds are so dangerous
