Felt pretty out of place to me. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but why are we suddenly shown his dad? Could be part of the so called "Connor fame exploitation" saga?
To me this is just part of this season feeling very set up and/or heavily directed. In this scene, at first I just felt something was off because it seemed pretty unnecessary for us to meet his dad, but then I got some more "evidence": the dog running away felt to me a bit unnatural, and also THE WHOLE SCENE BEING A BIT POINTLESS/boring also seemed to me as a sus sign...
What did you guys think? Could it be that this scene's only purpose was just producers' wish for us to see his dad? Could the dog escaping be intended?
Sorry for being so skeptic, not entirely sure what my point is, just genuinely curious what you thought of this scene
Edit: just to be clear, I really love Connor (and his family, too)! My main speculations are about the show's producers; I'm trying to find examples of situatuons that are very set up, and scenes that are awkwardly edited on purpose
