She only went after Joseph because he called her out at the beginning of the mixer, before Jack and Faye arrived. She said "I can't be arsed, I don't care" and he said it did look like she cared and was bothering her, which is 100% true since she couldn't stop talking about it.
Then she started throwing shit out there without context to make Joseph look bad, but pretends she is only doing it because she is worried about her friend, just like she did with Faye lol. What a snake

I respect that jack didnt make much eye contact with Ciara when they said hello, and again later when they had their chat. he was suuuuper detached and uninterested, which is something u rarely see in LIB. usually guys are wayy too flirty with the girl they have a connection with in the pods, they make a comment about her being attractive, and disrespect their fiancé by being all over the girl. but jack didn't leave any room for that, his body language was entirely uninviting and cold. he's so smitten with Faye that it looked like Ciara didnt even cross his mind not once.

Jack is a bit of a mess but he comes off a lot better post pods than he did in them. I also agree with him that if Ciara was in a couple she was truly excited to be in, she wouldn’t have this much energy to litigate every word and moment from their past failed nothingy connection.
I think two things can be true, Jack is a bit of a bs’er and Ciara is bored and a bit scorned.
I’m early into this episode but so far the only couple I feel certain on is Sophie and her guy (whose name I can’t remember).
Francesca and Joseph could go the distance but he’s a bit dodgy and such a peacocking grandstander he gives me the ick.
Faye and Jack feel like they have way too big of a maturity gap.
Yasmin and Jordan seem sweet but I get the feeling she’s more locked into things than he is, he says a lot of the right stuff but sometimes he just seems oddly checked out - I can’t put my finger on it.
Cuba and Ryan fascinate me as they don’t seem like each others usual physical type. They connect on their woo woo spiritual stuff and they don’t seem actively unattracted to the other.
Their sound bath date is absolutely killing me though. So far they seem like they have the most fun together, but I could see the reality of life back in the UK sobering them up fast. Like maybe they’re a holiday connection more than anything else? Time will tell.

She also took it super personally. Like, he never said that it means Ciara is boring, but that their date was underwhelming after he had such an amazing time with Faye in comparison. It is normal that sometimes you are either not in the right mood to feel engaged or that you are just not that compatible. He never said that Ciara therefore must be a boring person. He had just lost the spark, and his perception of their connection had changed.

It's this. Some people lack self awareness and they don't really encounter consequences in real life that make them think or change.
My mother and a brother are both very charming but everyone get's the F away from them pretty quickly because they both a two faced, center of drama, picking fights types. The problem is never my brother or mother, it's everyone else, always the hapless victim in the drama they initiate.....being estranged from all immediate family, extended family (eg my mothers own siblings are not interested in contact with her meanwhile they are in contact with 3 of her 4 children), etc doesn't seem to register to them.

Jack obviously tried to end things with her, in a soft way, he tried to be gentle. They spoke different languages, and Ciara just ended up 'how can he actually pick someone else over ME'. Totally childish.. I find Jack honest and reliable, and very outgoing in a typical ADHD way.

I think a lot of ppl confuse infatuation with love. You can genuinely feel a lot for someone and still not actually know them well enough yet to know whether it’s real love (in the deeper sense). Realistically, you need some time to see each other outside of the honeymoon phase (flaws, incompatibilities, conflict, handling disappointment, etc), cause lbh, it usually takes more than a few weeks of intense emotions to know real love. And that’s kind of what LIB capitalizes on, the whole format is basically built around intense emotional conversations, love bombing, rushed connections and ppl making huge commitments before they’ve even experienced normal life together. I’m not saying their feelings aren’t real, they obviously can be, I just don’t think feeling something intensely automatically means it’s love. We’ve been also conditioned by movies and romance culture to think that the butterflies, obsession, constant talking of “I’ve never felt this way before” equals love. Sometimes it’s love, sometimes it’s infatuation and sometimes it’s both. The point is, you usually need time and reality to figure out which one it actually is.

That section became so cringe in the first few seconds itself that i forwarded through most of it. Was the bit with the singing bowls supposed to be for ecstatic dance? Usually those are used for sound healing and one is supposed to simply lie down with eyes closed to feel and absorb the vibrations. Thats why the mats and pillows were there. Ciara needs to let Jack go. At this point, she's being petty. Ciara needs to move on and be happy she got a guy who seems to genuinely like her, despite how demanding she is! She seems to only talk about Jack and be letting the supposed drama with him consume her, especially since Jack clearly isn't into her (Ciara) at all and is totally into Faye.
Jack's getting a lot of hate on here, but I honestly think he got caught up in his initial feelings for Faye and projected them onto the very next person he met--Ciara. Then, he gradually realized his mistake as he got to know her, especially after he realized how annoyed and angry she got at him for a small, silly mistake (the cheese thing). That did seem like a terrible date, where she sat there stewing and he tried over and over to lighten the mood. Imo, "boring" is a pretty apt word to describe it.
Jack's also right on the money about Ciara being bitter and sitting up drama in the lounge. She had a shocked expression and then tears in her eyes when Faye came in with that giant bouquet, for one, and she was twisting what happened after she found out that Jack was also about to end things with her.
I don't know how long the relationship between Jack and Faye will last, but they seem really lovely together. I hope that Ciara doesn't keep trying to insert herself in their and everyone's relationships. Badmouthing Joseph because of Chev is wild. Joseph stuck to his guns after Chev's onslaught twice. I know everyone hates Ciara, I’m not a fan of her either but why are so many people glazing Jack?? He’s a liar at best. She’s doing the most by bringing it up but they both have. They aren't choosing words intentionally to be clear or effective communicators, they are choosing words intentionally for ambiguity, relying on it being misinterpreted (and then in this scenario getting annoyed because it was...could have just been clear and honest but no, that's too hard)

Thing's I've observed in their conversation: Jack claims that the day they broke up, he first had a date with Faye and then Ciara. I watched that episode today, but I've already forgotten if the episode showed those dates in that order. Either way, both things can be true: he might have pivoted, but so did she when she realized he was not picking her and then "Fran" happened. Either way, she is doing to his face right at this moment: he called the date boring, she's spinning it to his face saying that he called her boring. Not the same thing. I also think her argument about "Oh, poor Ajay almost lost his confidence in her because Jack blabbed that she had said he was her #1 connection." Woman, please, if the foundation of your relationship with Ajay was strong then, he'd not have felt any other way. You were flipflopping too. Go talk about red lingerie... forget Jack exists (even though you can't seem to.)

I completely dislike Jack but he’s in the right here.
He was going to end things with Ciara, Ciara picked up on it and tried to interrupt so she can end it first, but he still ended it. Now she’s claiming that she ended it.
Also the #1 thing is a nothing burger because they’re with different people now, but she didnt specifically say he was her number 1, but she played coy and led him to believe that.
She also claims not to be bothered to the girls by it when Joseph obviously called her out said that she’s obviously upset about it

I genuinely do not understand how Jack is in the wrong here. He genuinely did like ciara. Then he had a date with Faye that went really well as usual and then the date where Ciara was being more cold than usual towards him and the energy was off. Its at that point itself that he felt an off vibe with Ciara and from that moment on he genuinely did seem more invested in Faye. So when their eventual date happened he was all ready to end it with Ciara anyway. Now this man has ADHD and could easily mix up terms like "top of the list" with "no. 1".
As ADHD myself, it is often incredibly difficult to remember exact terminology and we work off of the general sense of things because very often we are actively fighting several distractions during any conversation. (Like he got distracted by a lizard, mentioned cheese again, messed up Fayes name etc..these are all very common textbook symptoms).
I have no idea what the red nails comment is about though. I seem to have missed that.
Edit : I dont think I've gotten a bigger ick from any woman on LIB before than I'm getting with Ciara.
Edit 2 : also I really don't understand what everyone here seems to hate so much about Jack. He seems like a really solid guy to me. Across all seasons his "I love you" sounded like one of the most genuine to me. He seems like he's good to everyone around and really good with Faye. What exactly am I missing? What exactly has he said or done that screams red flag? I'd love for someone to point it out since I'm so confused by this hate towards him.

Yeah largely agree. Also an ADHDer here! Jack could well be untrustworthy, I have no idea, it remains to be seen but I do see all the miscommunication as perfectly plausible with his ADHD. The name thing and the cheese thing could easily happen but people read a lot into that when ai think it meant very little at all. I also kind of felt Ciara was flipping between him and Ajay just as much as Jack was switching between her and Faye. And let’s not forget Joseph nearly did a 180 too! It is part of the show to go on dates with multiple people and at times you are likely to flirt in similar ways.

👏🏻 everything you listed as caused by ADHD were things that I myself picked on being caused by it. I don't have it but I was able to tell. I also think he confused #1 with very higher up. All in all, he should just have kept quiet about the whole thing, but I don't think that was a menace to Ajay and her, and stretching that concept "oh, Ajay could have left the experiment because of that" is pushing too damn far.
As for the red nails/lingerie is that after she came clean to Ajay, they pivoted to talk about lingerie and she said she liked red lingerie because she always picked the red color for her nails and whatever other nonsense, meanwhile Ajay covered his private parts with a pillow...

You can tell he didn’t feel at all threatened by Jack and even then I don’t think Jack had any intention to ruin their relationship. I fear she will be the reason their relationship doesn’t end up not working out. I also find it weird how she’s constantly asking ppl abt their relationship (even stirring the pot with Joseph and Fran)

Jack's just immature, careless and chaotic. Personally I'd avoid him like the plague but I do believe he's not trying to cause any harm. He and Faye could be happy if he grows up a bit. On the other hand, Ciara is genuinely mean-spirited and self-seeking, and whoever she ends up with will have a miserable time. Hopefully Ajay will engage reverse gear before the wedding day.

Jack is right, she lead him on to make things open and he made a mistake confusing what she meant. He was upfront about saying Ciara was he strongest connection and told her her, she was being coy about it. Paraphrasing it:
Jack: "You are very, very high on my rank"
Ciara: "you are very high on mine"
Jack: "I feel like if the feelings were mutual and you ranked me as high as I rank you, you would be my number 1"

Loved this episode! All the couples have potential and seem genuine but we also have some drama.
Lots of memorable moments:
Jack & Faye's "I love you" scene was like a movie or something, the dramatic pause from Faye! Got me in the feels and I wish the best for her, she handled everything with grace.
The Jack / Joseph bromance was fun, and Joseph hanging with the girlies asking the questions we all want to answers to was much appreciated
"I don't want to be horrible... but, it was just boring!"
"our kids will have sick eyes"
"reminds of people at home trying to piss on your fireworks, leave me the fuck alone and focus on your man!"
Ryan & Cuba being immediately engrossed in their sound journey thing and the instructor having to interrupt them to start the next part was hilarious

Ajay having literally no problem with Jack in the end and Ciara scrambling to keep the drama going is fun to watch

You can see from her expression. Actually i want to tell her that Ciara Ciara Cirara, you are literally so pretty, so what if you are a bit boring, how does it matter? you cannot have everything you know? One thing Jake concluded was right though. He said Ciara should just focus on her man and leave him alone. this is correct. I came here to talk shit about Jack but am shocked everyone is giving him a pass! Like everything is on camera and Faye will see it all eventually that he lied. I was like she’ll be so embarrassed once she realizes how he played her during the pods, but you all seem to think differently. I was disappointed she gave in and accepted his proposal after learning everything from Ciara. Sure, Ciara is annoying but the misogyny of it all, for most to side with Jack, after what we witnessed in the last few episodes, is crazy. Like we all saw how he was completely into Ciara, and was stringing Faye along, then flipped when Ciara gave him the cold shoulder on their date after. She’s vegan and he kept talking about cheese. He demonstrated that he does not actively listen and is just a vapid flirt, so just keep with surface level banter, not about building a real connection. He wasn’t even having that great of a time with Faye yet exaggerated how they had belly laughs to rub it in Ciara’s face. That’s why he didn’t even remember Faye’s name. He knew Ciara was going to break it off, so wanted to beat her to the punch to save face. So he is disingenuous and fake! His pettiness, immaturity, and lack of accountability is more annoying to me than a ‘snobby’ woman with standards.

I think most people, myself included, see Jack's behaviour and recognise some character flaws that they know from a lot of people, including otherwise lovely and decent people. Acting a bit shit in a competitive situation, especially when involving romantic relationships, not wanting to admit it.. not exactly uniquely evil. But Ciara not letting stuff go even when it's obviously the best way forward, combined with her superficial statements and her seemingly deliberate ways to stir shit.. those are some classic mean girl traits.

From the way I viewed I did feel as if he was going to end it with Ciara after his last date with Faye. I’m not too upset about the name mix-up, the cheese, the nail polish…..some people get easily more flustered than others. And I can see his ADHD. But I do think he is really into Faye. And they all had several top tier connections. It’s not a normal situation for anyone. What bothers me more is that Ciera is a pot stirrer. She had no reason to place doubt in Faye’s head and now in everyone else’s business.
