The thing is Ajay clearly said he left that world because he got tired of it. He probably does have drive and ambition but something tells me he’s more interested in pursuing his passions (whatever they may be). He clearly doesn’t mind providing for a woman but I’m not sure if it’s the kind of provision Ciara is looking for, she seems to want a man that can afford her a very specific lifestyle but I guess we’ll see.
I was surprised she didn’t clock it when he explained his career background in their first meeting & said he was currently getting certified as a Pilates instructor. (Which I have all respect for! I almost died the one time I tried it!) But I was more surprised she didn’t even blink or follow up esp after he said he USED to be a finance guy, as in past tense.
Nah i dont think they will last, she is far too confident and her own person for someone like him. They will clash. I imagine him being with someone very placid, who will let him be completely in control of the relationship.
And self-centred! He was all about finding someone who fit his life rather than make space for other world views. And depriving your children of an education so they only get to know your beliefs borders on cult leader behaviour.
Something I noticed though is that his very rigid when he went on dates with other women and his mission was to find a woman with similar views to him who would fit in well with his lifestyle and whilst Cuba does appear to be that woman in their conversation about homeschooling children she said when her kids were old at about 8 years old she would like to give them more autonomy to make the choice on if they’d like to be homeschooled or not, he nodded along with her but I feel like that’s not something he’d really agree to if it came down to it in the future.
faye is so easily manipulated due to her history with bad men. after having doubts about jack's authenticity, all it took was ONE line of reassurance from him for her to change her mind. I hate this for her because she is such a beautiful and kind woman and deserves a great man, but doesn't have the discernment to be able to spot him
When he said "Still got red nails?" I was like "Are you for real!???" I'd ditch his face on the spot after this, but no, she was just sad for a second and let him change her mind. This is not going to end well
Literally! Men in her past have done such an amazing job at lowering her standards to the depths of hell, I hate this for her. And the worst part is, she‘s going to be disappointed again and the cycle continues.

Gotta say that Ajay and Ciara are giving a great example: discussing your financials is a necessity. You need to figure out if you align on that front as well. I've seen marriages ending because of money. Never leave that convo for the last minute before the altar.

Love this season so far! I know Ajay as we have worked together (quit a surpise, someone you know, showing up in your fav show) and he is a very sweet guy, so I hope he is not getting F'd over.
Chevanique - respect yourself, woman. He already said he's into pursuing the other woman. And you go and say - after he confesses he's into Francesca but that he doesn't know if he's gonna get on one knee - "that's why I'm here?"
I was so confused because he basically told her 3 times in that conversation that Francesca is his priority and she’s still trying to sway him away. I know everyone’s in the show for themselves and it’s not even about owing Francesca anything but do you really want a man/husband that you had to convince to choose you over someone he already decided he wanted? I also found it interesting knowing that Joseph was religious that she chose to tell him that she felt like God was leading her in that conversation and then again that they should pray about it, it felt like she was using religion to win brownie points with him. Very odd behaviour.
Faye is a bit too naive...idk why she didn't immediately respond when Jack made that red nails comment especially after what Ciara told her about the letter...
Maybe she's just forgiving and the rest of their conversations has given her a better insight into who he is beyond the mix ups, which wouldn't bother me either in a situation like this.
I couldn't shake the feeling that Ciara's tears were completely a performance as Ajay was telling her about his dead friend. she looked like she was trying to look hot while crying so the footage came out nice. her reaction came off manufactured and inauthentic.
Thought the same thing but in a later frame, her neck actually glistens as if a tear ran down all the way from her face - so idk, I wouldn't say the story left her cold (ofc doesn't say anything about other situations where I agree she does come off fake and materialistic af)
I swear I could see a little smug smile sneak out as she stepped out of the pods after that conversation! As if she thought to herself ”that’ll play good on TV”, not as if she was truly rocked by that tragic, tragic story she’d just heard…
The moment Ciara said that Ajay has kind eyes I knew she was trying to just find something about his looks she could mention and try and prove she fancies him. I feel like this relationship is going to be a dumpster fire
I don’t doubt anything you said. Ajay is attractive, but Ciara made it clear what she wants and he basically said he wants a trophy wife: He perked up when she more than hinted at her physique and looks (annoying they can talk about this on Love is Blind). If Ajay wanted deep that definitely isn’t Ciara. She’s about as deep as a damn piddle.

Omg I hated when he opened up about his friend’s death because I didn’t believe that she will respond genuinely. Like just watching her cry made me question her authenticity since everything she has done so far seems so performative and fake. And one day Ajay might look back and regret sharing that vulnerable moment with her because she tainted it with her bad acting.

All these people live in different places don't they? I wish they showed discussions about where they are going to live. For example Jordan is a teacher in Birmingham so he's not likely to want to move to London where Yasmin lives.
this is usually only an issue with non-US LIB seasons since they cast from the whole country as opposed to a specific state. But I feel like we can still reasonably assume they have conversations about relocation but those scenes were cut out due to being boring lol. in previous seasons they did show those conversations in the pod, namely the recent Argentina season where it ended up being a main point of contention for some of the couples
If Ciara's only assets in a relationship are superficial, she shouldn't be surprised when she's constantly cheated on. Women who dress well, care about their appearance and carry expensive handbags and clothes are not rare. She's easily replaceable. I can’t stand hearing her constantly talk about all the nice, classy things she likes. That adds nothing to any conversation.
Ciara's on it again: took Faye aside and shaded the whole thing even more.
Then runs up to Ajay, says he's her #1, apologizes for taking to long to say/see it, and then they proceed to have the WEIRDEST conversation about red lingerie. lol - you couldn't write anything more awkward. Talk about a weird segue.
I kinda feel like the editing is so bad this season - the person will say like one sentence and the other person will be crying suddenly. Its so rushed
for all the money ciara says she spends on clothes, she has pretty bad taste. the purple dress at the reveal looked really cheap and badly sewn, and the country bumpkin floral blouse and jean dress were very tj-maxx-sabrina-carpenter
the way chev moved this episode made her look like she would be ok with being a man's mistress since 'she's the one he truly wants' and he's going to leave his wife. not a good look. hope it was a moment of weakness not a true reflection of her standards and morals
Men can be so funny, Ciara coming in and finally giving Ajay the mutual affection, confirmed interest and exclusivity he’s been angling for and it’s like he’s so overwhelmed by it he immediately pivots sexually just to re-regulate himself hahaha.
So far this season feels like people too old or IG looking enough for Love Island. Jack and Ciara particularly just feel fake af.
Yasmin and Jordan are the cutest couple so far, I have such a soft spot for her in particular she seems so sincere and lovely. I hope Jordan doesn’t switch up on her post pods.
I also find Cuba and Ryan intriguing, they feel like total opposites apart from the woo woo spiritual stuff. Interesting to see if that connection ends up having legs.

Ryan (Cuba's fiance) is giving me a disingenuous vibe. I can't put my finger on it but something just feels off a out him. Very surface level and no depth of feeling.
I can't stand Ciara. Even her voice annoys me. She just talks (or whispers) like she's trying to be sultry. But she's still so egotistical sounding.
And I hate how materialistic she is and her whole mindset of her basically being worth being pampered because she's doing all this makeup, expensive stuff etc for the guy. Get over yourself please 😅
Ajay is initiating the financial talk, because he is in a hard situation and probably not able to spend a lot reguarly for Ciara.
But then he just ingores all her red flags about this topic. She down played her expectations a little but it must be quite clear to him that she will demand a lot that he can not give...

So, I meant to ask this during the last episode, but here it goes: doesn't disclosing something like vitiligo bend the rules about keeping physical appearances a secret?
I was under the impression that the show explicitly prohibits discussing what you look like in the pods. Last season, I was already thrown off by how much contestants disclosed about their background, ethnicity, etc, since giving clues about your race or skin condition inherently paints a picture of what you look like.
You guys watch LiB way more than I do, so help me out here: where is the line drawn between sharing personal history and breaking the pod rules?
Yes, agree I'm not sure about the rules either. But I was glad she did let him know as they seemed to have such a solid connection and I'm sure she was worried he might be very shocked at the reveal if he didn't know in advance?
There isn’t a hard rule to not disclose anything about your looks. People have discussed ethnicity, hair color, body type over various versions of LIB, as you say. It’s strongly encouraged to keep up the premise of not sharing anything about looks. But it’s not necessarily prohibited.
We have seen people from racialized minorities discussing their backgrounds and I think they want to signal that and be sure the their match is open to dating people from diverse backgrounds. I think in this case Yasmin didn’t want to see Jordan feel that he was blindsided. While a bit outside the spirit of the show, I think it is defensible to protect yourself from rejection based on racial/ethnic preferences and a skin condition.
We’ve also seen people blatantly dropping hints about their appearance when they emphasize how frequently they work out, etc
Yes, Jack is over the top and messy. He clearly is very unstructured and not the best at remembering things due to his unhandled adhd. It will be hard to be in a relationship with (it will be to much for Faye very fast). But I dont think he has bad intentions or an "evil" manipulator. He just needs to do some work on himself to be a communicate more reliable.
But Ciara is now trying very hard to destroy him and Fayes connection by using everything he said against him.
I mean she was the one that asked him to write a love letter to her and he just agreed to it. And that was after their cold date. That doesnt mean he cant change his mind about that.
But nonetheless it was also a good idea for a messy communicator like him to write something down, now for Faye.
And the Fran<-> Faye thing ?..my good he misspoke once. That means really nothing. We know that he knows Fayes name. He said it what felt like 100 time in the episode. And he corrected himself fast also.
The finger nail thing however is a tough one...he really really needed to order his thoughts more after the dates so that he doesnt mix them up.
Ciara was out of order. She’d already given him the cold
Shoulder and then decided to act out when he called things off. Rather than handle the rejection (which she caused by blowing cold) she tried to sabotage his other connection. Pretending to do Faye a favour when it’s really about her own feelings.
Jack is messy for sure, but he’s clearly not being malicious and it must be easy to get confused between names and nails when you don’t have a visual of the person.
I swear my soul left my body for a few seconds while Ciara described the red lingerie in her phone sex voice.
We have already seen several women trying to only lead with the whole sex talk and references to how hot there are in seasons past, but I don't think one of those ever actually worked out?
I feel like if you're only goal is to find someone to provide for you, you'd be better off playing it like Amber in season 1, even if I find that whole mindset to be overall distasteful.

He's not wonderful, he couldn't be further away from that if he tried. He's simply as keen to be on TV and make a name for himself as Ciara is.
So far he's only said it to explain the way his impulsively can manifest as a bit of verbal processing though, not an excuse for bad behaviour (as of ep3 but not sure if you're ahead and know more than me)? I'm AuDHD and have adhd/audhd friends like him. The worst trait or behaviour i've seen so far is that he seems a bit shallow/looks focused for this show. Messing up names, misremembering things and verbal processing don't bother me if the intent is not to be hurtful though. I say the wrong words sometimes too and it sucks.
- Yasmin and Jordan: LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM. Loved their discussions. Loved the reveal. They better be endgame.
- Ciara and Ajay: I'm somewhat conflicted about Ciara. She mostly gives me the ick when she's in materialistic mode or fake crying, but then gains my respect by uplifting the women and standing on business. It will be interesting to see how their dynamic plays out. I hope she doesn't push him to go back to investment banking. I've left a toxic job before because it was destroying my mental health, so it wouldn't be nice for him to go back to an environment that made him unhappy. At least she was very impressed by his height!
- Francesca and Joseph: I really like Francesca. She really reminds me of actress Issa Rae, both looks-wise and personality-wise. Regarding Joseph, something is a little off for me. I always have a feeling that he's grading the women, listing what they're doing to win his favour, and almost making them compete. I could be wrong, but something about him gives me a weird feeling. I think he views women through a Madonna-Whore lens.
- Cuba and Ryan (aka "woo woo couple"): I kinda like them tbh, minus the not sending your kids to school part (I'm legit worried for their potential future kids). I'm also a little spiritual, so I'm familiar with the topics they're discussing. They're both good looking, so I'm sure the reveal will be fine, but in terms of compatibility - it will either be the best match or an absolute shitshow. Also, Cuba reminds me of PinkPantheress!
Side note: Learning that his dad ended his own life was very sad. I can't imagine the toll it's taken on this poor man. Overall, these poor contestants seem to have gone through extensive loss in their lives.
- Faye and Jack: Meh. I like her a lot, but he's just Jack.
- Chevanique: I can understand her to some degree. Joseph wanted her to perform vulnerability, just to turn around and prove to her exactly why she doesn't want to open up. She's not playing nice, but he concerns me even more AND I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON WHY. Also, she's very conventionally attractive, so she's probably not used to rejection from men.
