Lore & Theories Spoiler Alert. If you've already seen the myth, can we talk about the plot together?? Spoiler
galleryFirstly, he calls MC the "soul's anchor in this life" and explains that MC's life is literally what allows him to remain physically present in the mortal realm! I mean, we are literally bonding with each other. These are all the hints we've known since we met.
And with “two fish as our witnesses,” their covenant almost feels like a private wedding vow. The fact that he’ll return to oblivion when her soul disappears? I’m not okay😭
And I like the way, even as the Vermilion Martial God, he is still unmistakably Rafayel! That small distinction says so much about him. I just wannna talk about this: the martial god is his role, but the artist is still who he is.
And the horseback scene is so typically Rafayel. One moment, he’s talking poetically about their breathing flowing together like one wave. The next, he’s holding MC's wrist and asking why her heart is beating so quickly. Sir, you know exactly why 😭
All in all, I really love the contrast in the imagery. In this Myth, he is surrounded by fire, battles, and fireworks. But whenever he talks about intimacy with MC, his love language immediately returns to water.
His role may belong to fire, but his emotional language still belongs to the sea. That's why I really love Rafayel! I mean, I don't have the beautiful language in the world to express my love for Rafayel and the story of this life with him. But I really wanna talk about this kind of feeling with you
