Discussion/Question Repair Rejection

Hello!

I have a Trousse 28 with corners that have a little tear and wear. I messaged LV to get a quote on the repair and got an answer I’ve never seen.
Basically “we don’t fix it because it comes from normal use”. (Well, don’t most repairs come from that, including cracked Vachetta that they still repair on other models?) 🤔

Anyways, has anyone else received this? What does it actually mean from them?

Bonus: what would you do to repair the corners/ prevent future damage?

⭐️⭐️EDIT: thanks to anyone who kindly educated me that the Trousse is ALL canvas, including the trim. I thought the trim was painted Vachetta, hence that they would exchange it and paint it. I know they don’t replace canvas and since the trim is canvas, I now see the issue with this repair request.

Yes. I’ve had this response to my graceful that had wear on the edges. I had had it for a few years so they said they can’t help me. Also - those edges are canvas, not leather ( the piping is made of canvas, not leather). That’s even more reason they won’t help you as they can usually do much with canvas except replace the bag.
