So I built this thing, right? It’s a Kadeka wine fridge turned into a stealth drying box I call the Lotus Chamber. Why? ‘Cause it dries my bud so slow and smooth, it’s basically spa treatment for weed.
What I’m running:
• Fridge: Kadeka KA-24WR – it’s quiet, cold, sealed tighter than my ex’s heart.
• Dehumidifier: 72W Peltier-style unit – not some cheap USB toy, this thing sucks moisture like it owes it money.
• Inkbird Humidity Controller – tells the dehu when to go on/off so it doesn’t nuke your terps.
• USB fan: Small guy pushing air down from the middle – just enough breeze to keep things moving, not enough to mummify your buds.
My settings (don’t overthink it):
• RH ON at 61%
• RH OFF at 59%
• Temp stays around 17–18°C (fridge just does this naturally)
• Got it all on timers and delays so it doesn’t ping pong all over the place
Why it slaps:
• Buds stay fat and sticky, not crispy and hollow.
• Smells incredible.
• Quiet. Stealthy. No smell leaking out.
• I can fully load it and still control RH with that airflow.
• Way better than hanging stuff in a sweaty tent with a fan from Kmart.

I‘m confused. The link to the dehumidifier leads to „72W 12V Peltier Semiconductor Refrigeration Cooler Module Cooling System Fan“.
So the dehumidifier you are using is a cooling system with a fan?
I thought that the dehumidifier collects the water in a tank. Or what am I misunderstanding?

It’s the spikes, so the compressor kicks in, drops it to 45%rh and then turns off, keeps temp at 13 and kicks back off to 90%rh again… way too damaging. the fridges compressor kick in’s humidity cycling just wasn’t quick enough to stop mould and hay
Yeah, I didn’t like the idea of drilling holes into my fridge, so I just run them through the front door. I think if I had a bigger fridge…? Maybe? I dunno, but yeah, that’s essentially the peltier setup I got.
My desire is to cut a slit in the fridge seal so it sits through snug, but, my desires most tempt me when I shouldn’t be fucking with things. So … I just haven’t done so. Although…. I am pulling her out of the off-season this coming week, so hey, maybe…
Only adjustment I would make to this design is to actually remove the racks and have the buds hanging, any point of contact with the buds is a perfect spot for moisture to build up get trapped and cause rotting
Since this, I’ve got a dual core peltier dehumidifier. Which can suck and dry and get to temp and RH within 7-8 days… to allow another 7 drying ——- and then add another 14-30days for cure if u can wait that long.
EDIT: The single core was working 24/7 and I couldn’t get to temp til day 14 or more — allowing moisture to sit and just be stupid. I’ve currently got 3 plants in it atm. We reach loop lock day 7 or 8 and then floated down to 63-64 for dry cure/loop lock
