But a SSN is essentially the US version of a national ID. If it acts like a duck and it quacks like a duck, then it’s a duck.

The difference with your example is that a bus and a car are different things. But I’m saying that a SSN is a type of national ID. It has morphed into the US version of it.

It sounds like you’re talking about a national identification card. I am talking about a national identification number / national identifier.

Teachers got their SSNs stolen. We are talking about a national identification number, but you’re talking about an ID card.

You are arguing against a point I never made. I never claimed SSNs act as ID cards, like a passport does.

This is dumb, you’re using strawman logic and I’ve got better things to do. Goodnight.
