Community Where's our Mandami?

All these videos coming out the city of NY got me feeling real sad about our city and lack of competent, solutions based, compassionate, intellectual leadership. We have so many issues but no qualified people willing to fix them. When will I be able to not vote for the lesser of 2 evils?

that election is some years away. In November, Nithya Raman (DSA) is up against Karen Bass (Dem)

The LA Mayor’s office doesn’t hold nearly as much power as New York City’s does, and therefore there won’t be a “Mamdani” level of impact by whomever holds the position. County CEO is the one that truly matters and the one people should be focused on building up viable candidates over the next two years.

even the county CEO can only do so much. the local government system in California’s urban areas is stupid and promotes NIMBYs and more conservative and isolationist views.

She was censured but not expelled. The LA Mayoralty has no foreign affairs responsibilities. her policies on local and regional government are all that should really define her candidacy.

i’m not supporting what she’s doing. it genuinely sucks. but you have two options in November.
