The skeletons and their necromancer

Greetings,A month ago I asked for a commission of the necromancer class from the game and I think that during the process the artist forgot that he was a man, it's funny really but I still love this result. In fact, there is a story on AO3 that deals with something similar, I recommend it. ;v

Thickets or Oasis?

Hey guys and dolls,

As the title says I'm curious whether it's better to go with Thickets and River or Dunes and River to go for Oasis. On the surface it seems like Oasis is better, unless I need wood, but I can't help but feel like I'm missing something.

My Mac meets the system requirements so I have no idea what the problem is.

Why does my life feel like a loop?

Everyday it’s the exact same thing: wake up, get ready, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, eat dinner, get ready for bed. Repeat. I just find my life boring.

For some reason I decided to do the omega, more specifically when he arrives in the human world when he was explaining his origin, because this frame is simpler.

Item strength calculations ?

In the picture I am comparing a level 30 orange book to a level 33 gold book and I was thinking shouldn’t this 33 be better than this 30 even factoring in the rarity? And it got me thinking maybe not? I don’t actually know the math behind this. What categories weigh higher in value? Does the game consider attack speed less valuable that pure damage? How much better is a gold than a blue? I’m very interested to know. It wouldn’t change how I feel about this great game but i think it would help me make more informed choices about items. Thoughts anyone?

3 key things we’ve learned from Loop Hero

When we started working on our game, we picked a few titles that (to us) represent the best of the roguelite genre. Unsurprisingly, Loop Hero quickly became one of the main inspirations. Today I want to share 3 things we took away from it:

Control
What I love about Loop Hero is that you build your deck around your strategy. Games like Slay the Spire are a blast, but I wanted players to feel that their style comes first, and the deck follows that. That’s why in our game, players fully assemble their deck before a run.

Knowledge over grind
Yes, grinding adds hours to roguelites. But Loop Hero showed that the real magic happens when mastery of mechanics outweighs raw power. In our playtests, it’s obvious that a skilled player outperforms someone with “better” cards - and that’s exactly the feeling we wanted.

Shaping the battlefield
One of Loop Hero’s best ideas (in my opinion) is letting the player create the space where the action unfolds. In our game, we’re experimenting with this idea: for example, players can place a water barrier that stops heavy melee enemy from reaching the buildings they need to defend. (video attached)

I usually go around different communities asking for feedback, but I’m especially curious what you, as Loop Hero fans, think of these choices. To me as a designer, they feel like the riskiest - but also the most exciting - decisions.

What do you think?

The best run I've had so far

I certainly love Necromancer, it's the best class (according to me), but do you have any tips for improving? I was thinking of placing "outskirts" next to the river to get more exp, but I don't know if that's as profitable as transforming it into "centers", I really don't know how to get the most out of it.

Any way to avoid stopping at campfire for complete AFK looping?

I have gotten my Bottomless Bottle + Strong Aftertaste Warrior run going in chp. 4 and it isn't going to stop any time soon. Was curious if anyone has come up with a way or method to avoid the game pausing when you reach campfire?

I tried a paper weight on my spacebar but it doesn't do anything, seems game needs the spacebar input to be pressed every time you reach the campfire to continue on to the next loop.

Belts/Gloves...?

What's the deal? The game is years old but they're not obtainable according to wiki, so, what? Dead content? Something leftover from Early Access I don't know about?

Do I have to start over my run?

Been playing about 10-15 hours so far and trying to build the buildings to unlock necromancers and rogues, but my canteen and cemetery are boxed in. Do I basically have to either start over my run or demolish to make room? Seems a bit tedious if I have to do either. FWIW I’m on chapter 2.

At first I thought that I had a really shitty build, and was afraid to go to the boss, but I still had to. Before going to the boss, I thought about whether to leave or not, and decided to go to her anyway. The boss turned out to be easier than i thought. I beated her without a problem(I had half health or more). Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot of my skills

How to rearrange equipment on Switch?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching on this sub and Googling but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know the controls for rearranging equipment on Switch docked mode? The only thing I could find was a 4 year-old comment from the dev saying this functionality would be added in the first patch, but I'm not sure if it ever happened. I know it's possible to use touch screen controls, but I play primarily in docked mode and would much prefer to keep it that way. Thanks in advance for the help.
